IN Salley,SC they have the annual Chitlin Strut.
Ridgeland,SC has the annual Gopher Festival... One town I can't recall has an annual okra festival...  . LOVE me some good fried okra

One of the weirdest festivals I've been to in Wisconsin is Mayfly days in Lacrosse. It's a celebration of the mass hatching of millions of Mayflies in the area.
The swarms are so huge, they actually show up on radar. |
