Tired but happy. The weather has been mild so I've been getting a lot done around the apartment and feeling a real sense of accomplishment around that. Monte is on the is on the mend which is a big relief. Today I'm going to see my counselor, I always feel better afterwards when I do and since I'm already feeling good today I should leave there feeling great. Afterwards I'm going out for lunch, which I'm really looking forward to, so I'm excited about that. Hopefully it will go well so I can come home feeling magnificent rather than just a complete flop.

I am feeling good. Accomplished a lot today. Now taking a break to have some lunch. Then I will get back at it for a few more hours. Thankfully the temps have dropped, makes all the difference.

Exhausted from the horrifying and heartbreaking spectacle of family separation, started the day crying while I brushed my teeth, listening to The Daily, the story about the four-year-old boy taken from his father and acting out in his foster home.
Reading my little script to the answering machines of senators in the south. Then feeling relieved, that an executive order has put the end of that practice into motion. Biking really hard tonight when I got home, replacing emotional exhaustion with my favorite kind, physical exhaustion from elective exercise. Feeling calm suddenly. Maybe I just needed to write it out.
