Waking up from a hard sleep that felt more like a coma. I had such odd, vibrant dreams. I had to take a shower to chase the cobwebs away. I feel so much less present in my life these days

Drinking my morning smoothie while I wait for my French press coffee to brew. And watching Downton Abbey while I do all that. I feel so decadent.

Trying to unfeel all the emotions I've got going on. Trying to not feel so utterly devastated over the loss of a great man. I haven't slept more than a few hours since we received the phone call my father in law had died. My poor wife is consumed by this loss and I'm finding myself useless in consoling her. I keep telling myself you can fall apart later, you have to be strong.
So what am I doing right now you ask... I'm trying...
