I will definitely be voting in November. I think I may have skipped the first presidential election I was eligible to vote in and it definitely took me nearly a decade to make voting in non-presidential elections a priority. But, I am currently and have been all in for all opportunities to vote in the past 10 or so years.

I will be voting. I have voted in every election since I was 18. I bring my 24-year-old son to the voting booth with me now, while he is home, to instill the importance.

I am 60. I have missed one primary ever. I was sick. I vote in person. I know in some cases it's a cultural thing, but I don't understand not voting. One thing I am looking forward to voting for is the amendment that will return voting rights to convicted felons in Florida. Every citizen who wants to vote should have that right. I wish we had the day off as a National Holiday, every November.

I'm in Australia,we vote on a Saturday and voting is compulsary,you are fined if you dont vote,unless you have a valid reason,although our conservitive party would like to change it.
although you do have to register and a lot of younger gernerations are not registering.

funny thing is the Liberal party,IE "our conservitives",wanting a postal vote om marriage equality,so of course the younger lot had to register to vote"so now a whole younger gerneration are registered and will have to vote in election.

oh yeah and marriage romped in 70%-30%

so it was a win win

High turnout has historically favored Dems. Hence the Republicans' effective efforts to suppress the vote. Everyone on the left has been hoping demographics are going to be the death knell of Republican power. But traditionally most Latinx and Asian folk don't vote. And among registered voters, their turnout is the lowest. But if they were to vote in greater numbers, I don't think the effect would be as strongly in the favor of Dems as they hope. There are many many conservative Latinx. The evangelicals tend to vote like white evangelicals; whereas African American evangelicals do not. There are many conservative Asian voters as well.

Youth from every background can be counted on to vote in a more liberal way, but they're not voting. It's so hard to predict turnout among younger voters. You hear about enthusiasm and increased registration, but that does not always translate into turnout.

I think its like $50-$100 dollars
they usually send out a letter,from the AEC "Aust electoral commision"
we also still use paper ballots

Of course I will be voting. If the Democrats don't get control of the House and Senate, I fear what will come given that the three branches of government responsible for maintaining balance of power would have no intention of doing so. I only hope the Democrats treat the Republicans more kindly than they've been treated.
