President Jimmy Carter Age 95, was discharged from the hospital on Friday. So glad he's okay after the latest injury - a fractured pelvis.

Broke his hip during this past Turkey hunting season. His biggest complaint was that he had not gotten his bag limit. He asked The Georgia Dept. of Fish and Game if he could add that deficit to the next season...at age 94!
They turned down his request, but I'll bet it was tongue in cheek.

This President is my ultimate hero. He's done more to advance international relations. In fact, with his Habitat for Humanity and other volunteer work, he has made a huge impact here and overseas.

Anytime I need a little inspiration to perform a mitzvah or volunteer to help someone get over a bump, I think of President Carter and his life of service.

well, someone I had unfriended on FB....mmm... about 4 years ago (maybe even longer)... recently sent me a friend request.

why?? i'm not sure I want to really ask them why. I just know that if i go to the extent of unfriending or blocking someone...it usually means .....forever. I kinda get that a lot...people from my past coming back around.

So, for a fleeting moment of curiosity I was going to message them.. nah. not worth my time. moving on!

Robert Evans, Hollywood actor and producer, who passed away this weekend.

He produced Mario Puzo's The Godfather (aka Godfather I). He kicked Coppola out of the editing room because Coppola didn't want to edit the film the way the story was told in the book. Evans wasn't having it and booted him from the editing room. Later on, Coppola came out with a director's cut that was edited chronologically. I thought it was a disaster. The film and book opened with the wedding scene and rightly so because it set the stage for everything that happened afterwards. Thank goodness for Robert Evans and here's hoping he RIP.

That's who's on my mind right now.

texas (the mouse not the state, or my friend in) He got caught yesterday at some point. sigh I think i grew too attached. and with little sleep and under stress. I wonder what/who it is I hear within the walls now.
