When I first got in the fire dept there were only 3 women out of 1000 firefighters.So when I would be at certain fire stations some would purposely not say firefighter but say fireMAN and enunciate louder the man part. They wanted me to get their message protesting woman being there.
Hence Firegal …That's kinda my protest. Ive had more than a few folks assume I wasn't a butch based on my name. .gif "Say What?")
