I came across an excellent news article, over on MSNBC tonight. It talks about how American citizens must change their behaviors quickly or we will see real carnage fallout via the Covid-19 virus.

There are many salient points argued in the article, but this particular strand of written thought stood out to me as the most important item at root of the pandemic.

The outbreak has exposed a vast array of broken systems: underfunded hospitals; decaying infrastructure in rural towns and poor neighborhoods; legislative gridlock that has repeatedly stalled economic relief; a health insurance status quo that leaves far too many vulnerable people unprotected; a social fabric shredded by cultural feuds and tribalism.
