GREEN BAY – It won't come as a surprise to football fans in Green Bay on Christmas Day to watch the Packers play the Cleveland Browns that there will be inconveniences.

Christmas Day games are challenging to host cities because — well, because it's Christmas — but this year you can add to the mix two years of COVID-19 pandemic, which is responsible for worker shortages everywhere and especially in every hospitality-related sector.

"It’s a tough one because a lot of the employees have worked short-staffed for so long and businesses want to give them time with their families over the holidays," said Brad Toll president and CEO of tourism bureau Discover Green Bay. "We also have tens of thousands of guests in our city who are excited about being there for the game."

A little stressful at the end, but the job was accomplished. I live in Buc country and it was hard to listen to the smack talk. Lol. Let's see what the guys at work have to say today.

All I can say is...There will be a Superbowl with out Brady!!!!

And...oh my gosh..this past weekend has been some good games, weird plays and calls I never knew existed.

The Seahawks have not taken a quarterback in this year’s draft and head coach Pete Carroll said on Saturday they aren’t going to be adding any players to that position group in the near future either. Carroll said the team will always look at available players, but that they have no immediate plans to add another player into the mix at this point. “Nothing’s going to change that quick, no. We’re really happy with the guys we’ve got, see them battle and see what happens down the road,” Carroll said.

Carroll famously said the Seahawks had no intention of trading Russell Wilson shortly before Wilson was shipped to the Broncos in March, so it’s probably wise to wonder if the Seahawks have something else up their sleeve as the current trio continues to go through the offseason program.
