How did you find JOY today?

My JOY, from yesterday...

Receiving such heart felt cards from my crafter femme ( and mister Clay) sisters. Reading each one I felt a hug, for sure. I can really feel the love. Slowly my tears are turning to little smiles.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

and every day is spending quality time with my wife and our two rescue pups. My wish for everyone is to have someone not just to live with, but whom you can't live without.

Yesterday...JOY was found getting to have lunch with my Lunch buddy. Oh to see her taller and a wee bit more mature. I brought her a few things from Disney Paris. I just love the joy on her face. We talked about the summer. Next week I'm bringing a dragon fruit. We haven't seen the inside. Lol

And today, this morning. .. I found my Mom's Black Hills Gold and Jade Ring. I'm wearing it now. She wore it for years. She was born in North Dakota. My Granny, my Mom and I have always worn Black Hills Gold. 3 generations on my hand. What a joyful treasure.

Well, now I've found JOY, and perhaps some joyful tears. I've been in my Mom's room getting it ready for my friend who will be here Monday. I'm planning to move one of her dressers into my room. I haven't had a dresser in years. I've been carting around plastic drawers I hide in the closet.
Anyways, in side this dresser is lots ( I counted at least 15 ) handknitted sweaters. My Mom was a master knitter. ( I won't mention all the totes full of yarn that are here). Well, I tried over half of them on. Feeling all the love in each stitch.

Ok, and I hugged the sleeping mask she was wearing when I found her. And that's when the joyful tears came. I suppose I'll have these moments. It's been 7 weeks, I miss you 💝💝💝

Very JOYFUL, my best butch from Texas (An ex actually ) came to vist and we met up with Boss Butch yesterday. We went bowling and laughed our asses off. We showed them the older gals can still have a great time!.

Then took a unexplainable trip to the Hard Rock casino. On my gosh, a good time was had. We all stayed up late and some of us lost money and one of us won money. Lol

Best time in a long time. Quite the Joyful night.

Today, we are all back together. My Honey do list is getting done. I love my friends!!

I've lately begun a "joy journal", with things that might be really small but gave me a little "ooo!" in a tough time. My mind just has to take a break from situations. So I think this thread might become a favorite haunt!

At work I take a slip of paper or a card and whenever something joyful happens, no matter how small or maybe meaningless to anyone else, I write it down. I'm shocked when I read my card over and find I can clearly remember bullshit and aggravation but forget the joys I wrote down just hours before!

Today, for instance, I filled up the hand sanitizer bottles on the registers. They are a kind of cobalt blue. Since it was 7:30 AM, the sun was just coming up through the windows and turned the sanitizer to little glistening drops of blue. It struck me as beautiful, so onto the card it went!
