No, I didn’t move here for a relationship. I moved here to escape the United States because I want my daughter to have bodily autonomy. I emigrated with my husband and daughter. We are all Americans. I did not think Orange Hitler would be the president again but I saw the direction things were going in and I don’t like it. I was lucky to get a job and permanent residence. Thank god I am here.

There are gay women here, of course. I just don’t know any of them. I don’t really know how meet a queer community here. I’ve seen get togethers for gay men not women. It’s fine but it would be cool to have a butch femme circle. We look like a straight couples because my husband is trans.

It seems odd it is so very quiet here. I did find a butch femme Facebook group for New Zealand. Maybe people have moved on to different media and away from this forum.

hmmm i didn't know you were femme!...So good thing the both of you aren't here as the current government is making it extremely hard on Trans folk...it's very hard to watch...as for Z land...always imagined it to be Amazing! Want to visit someday and study & understand the Maori culture. It seems like their culture is disappearing like the Hawaiian, becoming diluted and i imagine within the next 50 years, they may not even exist as an ethnicity..we'll have vanished too...i hope you come for a visit....once the current presidency leaves ...i'm trying to remember what Z land is known for??? something amazing, no doubt!
