That I did not know about Arlington Cemetery, where veterans are buried: Civil War Confederate General, Robert E Lee, his sprawling property was converted into a cemetery for veterans of war over a tax dispute. (May 13th, 1864).

The Donkey. (G.K. Chesterton)
When fishes flew and forests walked and figs grew upon thorn, One moment when the moon was blood then surely I was born. With monsterous head an sickening cry and ears like arrent wings, The devil's walking parody of all four-footed things. The tattered outlaw of the earth of ancient crooked will, Starve, scorge, deride me, I keep my secret still. Fools, for I also had my hour, one far fierce hour and sweet, There was a shout about my ears, and palms before my feet. |
