It is joy and chuckles today. I have the day off so my indoor activities have been watching some TV along with some hand sewing. Some of the selections I've been choosing on Prime ask me to resume or start from the beginning. I know I didn't select some of these before. I realized these were my Mom's choices. We shared the account. Lol. So I get to see inside her picks and also know why she didn't finish some. Lol. I think we have the same tastes. And that is hidden joy!

Hank Greene (science youtuber) has developed (with other people but I don't know them) a new helpful way to gently keep yourself in focus with an app. (Lord knows I need all the help I can get in that department.)

It's called Focus Friend. It's a literal cute lil bean. You set a number of minutes and your little friend (mine is named Beanington Frost) will knit socks for that amount of time. You can use those socks to purchase items to decorate your bean's room. If you interrupt your bean, any progress they've made on their current knitting will unravel and you won't get any socks. It keeps you from getting on your phone when you should be doing something else.

I don't use my phone all that much, but Beanington gives me joy and helps me work in blocks of time I create and take plenty of breaks to move around and shake out my carpal tunnel.

Joy today...

A gave a friend at work a small bag of knitting accessories. Since I don't knit I would not use any of them. She was such a dear, she made a shadow box filled with those things. She has no idea that it was perfect for me. Perfect on this day. It brought tears to my eyes as I've missed my Mom hard these past weeks.

This just made my day.

She has no idea that it was perfect for me. Perfect on this day. It brought tears to my eyes as I've missed my Mom hard these past weeks.

The start of a 3 day weekend for me. I booked my vacation for the happiest place on Earth I'm excited over that. I love Disney at Christmas I'm so excited. That is bringing me joy until December. Thinking about it I haven't been to Disney in like 20 years and that was like California at Christmas.

I had a fine day. I was watching tv and my brother walked in. I was super happy to see him. We watched some tv I had saved for him an then I took him out to dinner. Halibut and chips OUR favorite. He is sleeping right now and I will have coffee with him when I get up.
