The Loft: Butches and Femmes in their 40s, 50s and over.

First, welcome to the Loft, cuddly! This is a great place to be with really outstanding supportive people! Please do go slowly in the heat and humidity. I know what that's like-I used to live in the MS Delta where the temp got over 100 degrees and the humidity was like someone wrapped a hot wet blanket around you! So, as a welcome to you, I'm offering (when you're in air-conditioning). This is very good tea-Wuyi Blue Rock Eight Immortals Wulong! And also some, also very good quality-Lindt "a Touch of Salt" bar, dark chocolate with a touch of French sea salt. Enjoy and take it easy!

Second, I'm writing again, Lofters! Please check out my original poetry in the POETRY section of the forums. I just put two new poems there! I am also working on a book of Reflections, right now published in my new blog: The Nameless Gate. You can find it at:

Third, Rocking, As a fellow glasses-wearer, I am SO sorry to hear you broke your glasses! I'm glad you had an old pair! I always keep an old pair around in case of accidents. In fact, right now I'm wearing an old pair until I can get a new pair. (I'm having severe vision problems and am losing the vision in my right eye.)

Fourth, I hope that EVERYONE is having a GREAT DAY!

Lady Wu, thank you for the wonderful welcome along with the tea and chocolate. I'm not used to the humidity so soon since I'm not from the South...I like to call myself a Northern transplant
I can relate about the glasses. I don't want to think about how many I've either lost or broken. I wear contacts now but have to wear glasses when I read. I'm lucky that I haven't lost many contacts although, I did drop one and the cat ate it

I'm so excited that we're so close, I can't wait to get together, we'll have a great time. As for the heat, guess I'll learn to deal with it lol

well - it is not that hot up this way. you gals have my sympathy.

Got a haircut today! FINALLY!!! I've been wanting to do this for ages but either didn't have the funds or the time. But - went today. Now my hair is all thinned out and somewhat manageable - although I notice I've got quite a bit of grey. I don't mind it - except those renegade ones that stick out at the oddest spots. Next on my list - new glasses. And maybe shoes.

Yep its hot outside,I herd the heet index was 102 hear today.I was going to workout today but was watching one of my fave tv game shows so I went out a bit later than useal to work out..my g*d it was already to hot at 11am to take a deep breath,wso I cleand off the patio and hosed it off then washed my car...shoulda just went back in and had some ice tea...just too hot..even my fur kids arent going out much.
