 Good morning friends  Looks like we were all  this morning! I know I didn't want to get out of bed at all today...especially to face more grey skies and rain. Oh well...at least it means I have an excuse not to mow the lawn again!  Okay...first order of the day is breakfast  ....strong coffee, tea, scrambled eggs with a little cheddar and minced onion, bacon (not too crisp for my baby, crisp for me, and more both ways for everyone ), crispy hash browns, some nice sourdough toast....and I'll put out a selection of jam and jelly for you too...including the strawberry jam I made last summer...last jar!We've also got some lovely cantaloupe and strawberries...so dig in!  And, cuz I'm craving a little  (and I know my sweetie always is), I'm leaving out that double batch of brownies I baked last night. I won't say a word if you have one for breakfast....or take a couple to help your day go a little smoother...or both!  baby.... I love you

Good Morning Everyone.
 (we need a coffee pot smiley.. oh better yet a french press one)Jo thank you for that strong java.. I believe I need it this morning. I woke up to dark skies as well and I believe we are supposed to get more rain today. However, the temperature is cooler and for that I am thankful. Humidity is never fun. So Jo, I was going to ask.. do you own any french presses? That is the only way I make My coffee and I own about 7 of them of varying sizes and styles. I first had french pressed coffee when I went out on a date a long time ago.. and was immediately hooked. I also used to grind My own beans .. however, I could never get it as fine as what I can buy. I hope everyone has a peaceful day and notices something that brings comfort to them on their journey. |

I have to admit that I used to have a french press....until one of the many kitties in the house decided to investigate too closely, scorched her nose, jumped and, in the process, knocked it off the coffee table. What a mess...broken glass, hot coffee and grounds everywhere. I keep meaning to get another, but haven't yet...maybe as a house warming present to myself when I get down to Florida (since I'm pruning possessions right now in preparation for the move). When I get a craving for it, there's a really nice little coffeehouse in town that serves your coffee in a french press....and I'm down there periodically for my fix. Since Freyja isn't up and about yet, I'm gonna try to be our morning DJ....and I always did love this....

Good Evening Everyone,
I had fun today. I walked the mall in Daytona with my oldest nephew and two of his friends in search of some new Nike's for school..While he was looking, I was looking to. He bought a cute pair of Nike Air Torch and I bought a new pair of sneakers and some Nike Flip Flops with the memory foam cushion. I talked to ChrisButch today, hy sent me a text message. I am not sure if you all are friends with hym on Facebook, but hys aunt had a stroke on Monday the 7th. She passed away late this afternoon to late evening Irish time. She was like a second mom to hym and I got hys permission to let you all know about this. Have a good night, those three boys wore me out walking around that mall. Zimmy

Good morning everyone. Snags a small amount of eggs and toast. My bronchitis is a little better every day. I should have taken the last 2 days off but too much work to get done. Hope everyone is enjoying their day.
I miss keeping up with this thread so I am gonna try to do better. Everyone is so wonderful. Damon went to 2nd shift and loves his new job. Seems to be working out very well for him. Sets out some chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies for everyone to enjoy. Grabs a cup of java and heads back to work. Becca

ok so i gotta ask....why the hell do the french press coffee?? how do they press it? and yes honey u can get a frenchlady to press your coffee....can she wear one of those lil maid uniforms?? *innocent look*
so its 11:45am here its 88 degrees but with index feels 97...supposed to get up to 92 today which means another day of feeling like its at least 104....dontcha just love summer??? and of course there is that chance for an afternoon rain/storm hope everyone has a wonderful day doing whatever it is everyone does! love you too baby....how many hrs???? |

good evening everyone took the dogs for a quick walk well it was about 20 minutes with all the pee stops, for dinner I made pizza yep all by myself with veggies. Desert will be cheesecake but Jo made brownies so if there any left eat'em up. Also love dark chocolate its like a strong cup of good coffee for me. Sets out strawberries with melted chocolate dark and milk also some coffee and tea

I have a couple of french presses that just have the glass bottom and no stand. perhaps you just need to drink the coffee faster. grins.
