I can totally relate to this bit! I went to the Bulbyranch in Las Vegas once and wanted a hot little string of glitter lights. I was so excited to see all the strings lined up for me to chose from. WOW! The ones I wanted were so expensive! I ended up with this boring clear set that just laid there and didn't even flash! Sigh...

I don't even know what to say to this, adorable... it's lightyears from my own life. I wouldn't DREAM of buying a string of hot little glitter lights in Vegas, if I could even GET there... who knows where they've been or how many... businesslights... they were with before they offered to light my nights? I know I should be sympathetic to you, but really... I think your answer shows your own inherent privilege and classism. Haven't you heard of thinking globally and buying locally? What about the small light emporium you might have sustained in your own town, if you hadn't been gallivanting around the Bulbyranch?
