Good morning, Austin.....
Please send up some good energy to the Universe for me this morning..... At 10:30, I have an interview for a middle school choral director's gig at Chapa MS in Hays County!!!! I'm VERY excited....have spoken with the HS Director (who will be at the interview) and I have a VERY good feeling about this. So I'll keep You posted, whichever way it goes.....I just feel as though this job is mine! |

Well, folks...I just don't think it could have gone any better! It was a great interview!
Like I mentioned earlier, the HS Choral Director was also there...and she and I visited some before the Principal got to the meeting. It seems that she was a neighbor to one of my former choral directors AND she did HER student teaching with her as well...small world! ALso, one of my area superintendents in Richardson was the Hays Cty. Superintendent for the past 5 years or so. He is retired now. So that was cool! The interview DID make me realize how long it had been since I'd been in a great school district! Their music budget is amazing, as is their choir room....the school's only 3 years old or so....so all the bells & whistles! Great place! I will hear something ~ yea or nay ~ on Thursday. The principal had her 2 8-week-old black lab sister-puppies there....TOO CUTE!!!!! I got kisses.....<smile> I'm in.  Oh and another neat thing? When I got home, I checked the mail....and there waiting for me was a lovely ~ and I mean LOVELY ~ check from the IRS! It seems I overpaid! I'm not questioning the Universe! I'm just NOT! It's so wonderful and amazing! It's a good day! |
