1. I call Hawaii home---i miss it everyday and when i was a kid i never realized how much i would miss the ocean until we moved to the midwest when i was 16--i miss the people and the food and the sand and the water

2. I love all animals and I am devoted to my kitties--they have saved my life a time or two, they were the reason i got up out of the bed when i couldnt bear to on my own

3. Its hard for me to see someone cry, i have this empathetic response that makes my eyes start watering and then next thing i know im crying too, ive always been like that since i was a kid, sometimes i find it strange like its from a past life or something

4.I love the taste of trappist ales from belgium--the best in the world and i love the taste of bourbon on my tongue

5.I love all kinds of music---ill listen to any genre if the sound hits me right, bob marley is a particular favorite of mine

and for a bonus, i too have an amazing woman that i wake up to each day that makes the world brighter : )

I'm totally new and haven't said much:

1. I can juggle.
2. I broke several immigration laws in the mid-90's in the name of love. (I smuggled myself into Canada - and my then girlfriend, out. We're both in our respective countries now, btw.)
3. I have a degree in Classic Trumpet Performance - but suffered performance anxiety so there went that career.
4. I've travelled the USA Extensively (all but 9 States)
5. I finally learned to dance in my late 30's.

I love bouquets of cut flowers but prefer perrenials I can just pot in my garden and enjoy year after year..

I will bring home any stray I find...maybe not to keep, but to stay until its better and I can find it a new home

I dont tolerate dripping faucets well

3. As much as I love being outdoors, I love it more when it rains. I think I like the "action" or "motion" of weather like rain. I hate it when it snows, though.

1. I need to cut my nails. No, really. They are very nearly one full inch from cuticle to tip. I hesitate because they are natural and it's been a loooong time since they've been this long. It's a love-hate relationship right now, since it makes typing difficult....yet, I am somehow managing here.

2. I can't figure out my face shape. Some days I think it is round and some days I think it is square. My jawline seems more square some days than others. Either way, it's not heart-shaped or oval.

3. On my way to work, my shoe broke. Well, it's been getting there for a few days, but it literally broke while I was speed shopping before skidding into work. I had to have a moment of silence. These American Eagles were good shoes and I got them for a STEAL!

4. I am a supa dupa thrift store shopper. Seriously. The sales; they love me and the feeling's mutual.

5. I haven't drunk coffee (other than a couple of random sips throughout my life because I was told "but THIS one is GOOD!"...they lied, of course) since I was 3-4. I tried to steal some from my mom's cup and she made me a cup of my own and made me sit there until it was all gone. Did I mention it was black? *puke* She used this theory of parenting for cigarette smoking too. She tried to make me smoke my way through a pack. I gave it my best shot until I was literally green and puking. I think I got maybe 4 or 5 of them down before that occured.

5. I have a similar situation but it is with wine. It is one of the few things I remember from my childhood. I was 5 and my mom was drinking some Riunite (Riunite on ice, Riunite so nice...anyways) and I thought it was Kool-Aid. So since I kept whining and demanding some of it, she gave me half of a tumbler full and told me I had to drink it all. Needless to say I hate wine.

* When I was small I used to dream of being a professional dancer. Then as an adult...I got my dream and did it for a while.

*I adopted my last son when he was 3 1/2 months. Which where I live was a big deal. Single woman usually can't. Let alone a lesbian.

*I love to use my past experience to promote posotive actions. I voulenteer in many areas such as Battered Woman Shelters,Community Counseling Center for drug abuse. And the Stonewall center for a few.
Helping others helps makes me a happy soul.

*I do carnivals in the summer at childrens schools, company parties and functions.

*I can bbq a mean piece of lemmon chicken...lol

2. I read 376 books last year. I don't usually read that many but i was trying to see if i could read one book each day
3. i became an aunt for the first time on Christmas- i am so in love with that!
4. the clock in my car is off by an hour for six months each year
5. i hate calling people on the phone but i'll talk if you call me

Am quite partial to trains...be they passenger...freight or the kind that only I can pull.

Love city commuters and long rural lines, over water, over bridge, over prairie, but most of all in the desert deep where no one or modern building be. They're most beautiful at sunrise or best glorious at sunset.

Should I come back, I'd an engine be. Pulling hundred car freight trains from sea to shining sea.

2) Pull practical jokes, and just so anti-social to get away with it.

3) Am not fond of reading as an act. Rather listen to an unabridged tape or a
person narrating the story. Like to shut the eyes and just drift away.

4) Don't put up holiday decorations; as, I do not like the task of taking them
down until next year.
5) Once hands and more severely feet get chilled, t

I have a weird little collection of candles. Maybe I should send some to June.

I took a nap today for the first time in months. I liked it but am groggy as Hell.

I'm hungry. I thought someone mentioned pizza. Maybe I should traipse downstairs to find out if I was only dreaming/wishing it so.

I'm off tomorrow and get to see a buddy I haven't seen in a while! Woot!

I think that my future has shifted in the past few days and it's so noticeable that I can almost imagine the click as it switched gears.

I once let an adorable little girl - that had "challenges" - paint my finger nails all kinds of funky bright colors...some even had 3 different colors that CLASHED..., just so we could get her to talk and open up enough to interact with people around her. (I never paint my finger nails, but couldn't resist her wanting to "show" me how she wanted me to paint her's...but she wouldn't express it verbally.)

When I was 3-6 years old...my step dad called me "Squirrel"

I have slight nerve damage on the right side of my face... makes me shy to smile because my smile is lopsided and I HATE to have my picture taken.

I HATE onions!! (people always make fun of me for that one)

I used to hang my little sister's Barbie dolls on the clothes line...and snicker when she was too short to reach them, but would climb like a monkey to get them down. Trust me, she got paybacks. She and I both have MEAN right crosses!!

I have an obsession with caprese salad

I almost always think that I've left my purse on top of the car. I Panic first and then realize that it is in the back seat where I usually place it. Sometimes if I'm on a road trip and I've stopped to walk Lulu, I panic thinking that I've accidently left her behind (until I see her in her carrier that is). I'm working on squelching the panic and using critical thinking skills first. Uh huh.

I love rocks. I love to collect them, look at them and display them (I'm pretty sure this makes me a nerd). They are considered a "metal" element in Feng Shui.

I have cordless telephones but strangely I prefer an old fashioned princess style phone with a fifty foot long cord. When I first bought the cord I worried that Lulu would become entangled when I walked around. Luckily she has learned to stay a few paces in front of me to avoid danger!

I have the strangest desire sometimes to play with Barbies (don't judge). It doesn't seem fair that little girls get to have all the fun.

Maybe I should send some to June. I took a nap today for the first time in months. I liked it but am groggy as Hell. I'm hungry. I thought someone mentioned pizza. Maybe I should traipse downstairs to find out if I was only dreaming/wishing it so. I'm off tomorrow and get to see a buddy I haven't seen in a while! Woot! (I never paint my finger nails, but couldn't resist her wanting to "show" me how she wanted me to paint her's...but she wouldn't express it verbally.) When I was 3-6 years old...my step dad called me "Squirrel" I have slight nerve damage on the right side of my face... makes me shy to smile because my smile is lopsided and I HATE to have my picture taken. I HATE onions!! (people always make fun of me for that one) I used to hang my little sister's Barbie dolls on the clothes line...and snicker when she was too short to reach them, but would climb like a monkey to get them down. Trust me, she got paybacks. I have an obsession with caprese salad I almost always think that I've left my purse on top of the car. I Panic first and then realize that it is in the back seat where I usually place it. Sometimes if I'm on a road trip and I've stopped to walk Lulu, I panic thinking that I've accidently left her behind (until I see her in her carrier that is). I'm working on squelching the panic and using critical thinking skills first. Uh huh. I love rocks. I love to collect them, look at them and display them (I'm pretty sure this makes me a nerd). They are considered a "metal" element in Feng Shui. I have cordless telephones but strangely I prefer an old fashioned princess style phone with a fifty foot long cord. When I first bought the cord I worried that Lulu would become entangled when I walked around. Luckily she has learned to stay a few paces in front of me to avoid danger! I have the strangest desire sometimes to play with Barbies (don't judge). It doesn't seem fair that little girls get to have all the fun.
