Sitting at a cafe outside by the marina with two wonderful friends...eating tapas and drinking wine. We laughed and carried on for hours planning our next big adventure sightseeing in Europe.

Realizing my joy today ...
The many wonderful friends in my life brings me joy ... not just today but everyday.
Of course, have to mention ... my dog, Kelly, is my #1 Best Friend Always.  I plan to post a new photo of her shortly with her latest "surprise." If I come home from the grocery store or from anywhere and I have packages, she gets so excited to see what I bought especially for her. Kelly is hilarious! Yes, indeed, a great joy to hang with -she always makes me laugh out loud.

What brought me joy today...
Although I am facing a number of things in my life that I never dreamed would be in peril...I can come to this site and even though it may be for just a few minutes out of my day...I can find acceptance, compassion, colorful viewpoints, many a post to make me think maybe my way is not always the right way, and a whole group of people that love me and would never, ever even know me if we passed on the street...sometimes when I finally make it to bed late at night I can think on these things and know I am going to be alright. Someway. Somehow.

Today was a pretty good day, for a few reasons:
~ The sun was shining, and it was warm outside ~ Talking with and getting to know a sweet femme online ~ Having a friend of Mine, who I didn't expect to hear from for awhile, tell Me that he missed My friendship and that he wanted us to be friends again ~ Watching videos on YouTube of FTM's posting vlog's (video blogs) about their transition; as well as a specific channel where SOFFA's discuss what its like to be with an FTM, how they feel about various weekly topics picked by them or viewers of the channel, and just seeing alot of love being expressed between the guys and their partners I'm telling you, today was a day that has put a perma-grin on My face ~ can't you tell?

Tonight....we had a little get~together with some of the Austin peeps.....
And Oiler surprised us all (but mainly Pup) with a big ol' box of FIRECRACKERS!!!! We had our own personal Fireworks Display and it was SO much fun!!! Great BBQ and sides....I made a new recipe ~ Raspberry Buttermilk Cake.....it was yummie! The whole evening was really so lovely! |
