I suspect many will sleep in today. You get today off in lieu of the holiday, am I correct?

I see Lipstix is in the house, she is probably busy making soome food, so I will just go turn on the music.

This 80's one hit wonder was one of my faves, but since YouTube disabled the coding, I'll toss it to y'all in German

Good morning Kitcheneers, I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday weekend. Do you all get a 'bank holiday' today because the 4th was a Sunday?

There's a pot of tea on the go for anyone that wants tea and soft boiled eggs and toast almost ready for anyone that's peckish...I'm ravenous after being unable to eat for the last 24hrs.

Good MOrning Incubus and Freyja yes we have the day off a bank holiday as you guys call it. yes some toast with eggs will be nice. How about some pancakes and waffles to go with and some strong coffee for those that need it. INcubus did you have too much to drink at the barbecue?? Is that why you haven't eaten anything in 24 hours? That is too bad that's why I don't drink, only wine on Shabbat and special occasions. Boy its hot here in the 100's today tomorrow and the rest of the week. But I rather have it hot then cold!! dogs ate already and we are ready to settle back in bed for a while longer!! see you guys later.

Nope I didn't *have* to drink that much, I just did sorta by accident, ashamedly so. Still today is a new day and I feel dandy again and can eat. I think I can safely say I shan't be partying like that again any time soon.

I got my transcripts from my old high school on Saturday, so I am going to the college tomorrow and get everything taking care of so I can start college in august...

That sounds great what school are you attending?? Is it nursing because I am interested in that field as well??

Good morning all and thank you for the breakfast and music...such a nice way to wake up! I've got the day off today as well (not that I work terribly hard most days anyway ). It's still nice to have a sleep in though.

Glad to hear you got the transcript situation worked out Zimmy so you can get back to school. I know that going back to school was the smartest thing I ever did and changed my work life pretty dramatically. Crossing my fingers that it does the same for you.

We are still waiting to hear from the bank (sigh...). Unfortunately short sales take awhile, even though the bank we're working with has a good reputation for moving them along. I had already figured on being in FL by now though...so it's frustrating for sure.
