[COLOR="Purple"][I love the way she curls around me as she sleeps and I get on here in the mornings.

I am sad that I won't be able to make it back "home" for my friends visitation and funeral. I appreciate the kind notes people have left about my friends unexpected passing.

I am excited that today is my last class until finals next week.

I have a test this afternoon. Then I have 3 finals next week and I am done for almost a month./COLOR]

Insomnia and menopause....I think they go hand in hand. It's no wonder I find myself nodding out for short spurts at different times of the day. Thinking I don't want to take pills just to help me sleep. Learning that any day I can sleep for more than 3 hours without waking is a good thing. Wondering how long it can go on before it could become a health issue.

I’m wondering why, as I near forty, I am still afraid of my mother? Will I never be able to let go of the memories of the angry, violent women she used to be? How do I reconcile the past with the present? She’s a different person than she was, but spending time with her still leaves me a mess.

I hope that I can find a way to forgive her before it’s too late.
