Wow.. I am sorry to hear this. That has to have made your Brother just red hot and worried about his daughter. I can not even imagine. Especially knowing that the ex just took off and is moving in with someone she barely knows. Doing it on your own is one thing.. involving a child is another ball of wax all together. I will keep your family in My thoughts.. especially your niece.. because she out of everyone is not old enough to make a choice as to where she resides...nods. Zimmy, you also have to take care of you. I understand you are upset for your Brother and worried about your niece and Mom too..but you have to try your best to keep at those studies.. as best you can.. or talk to your professors and ask for a bit of leeway until you can get back at it full steam. I know it is hard to put your worries aside and keep your nose to the grindstone.. I have been there .. especially in college.. however, just do the best you can.. and like I mentioned let your professors know if you need some extra time with things.. I found that when I clued Mine in.. they were more than willing to give Me some help rather than see My grades suffer. Also, you have friends here.. and I am sure all of us.. would help in some way if you needed.. so please do not hesitate to ask.. you can PM Me.. if you need any help with your studies.. or just to talk. ok? you are in our thoughts. Jake....i use old age as an excuse more often than not....seems to work well most of time..*chuckles* that would be cool if we could all meet up at end of month...maybe talk to JO...she is a genius at finding low airfares--just ask Zimmy...as i recall she found a great rate for her to fly clear from other side of country back home to florida my honey is fixing lasagna for dinner...i'll have her fix enough for everybody....maybe a nice green salad,some mozzarella cheese bread as well....did i mention she is an awesome cook? ok i guess i need to get back to work....hope everyone has a wonderful day!! waves to all the kitcheneers |

Absolutely can't wait to meet you MStar and Jake....and I'm happy to help research airfares if needed. And I hope things work out in the family Zimmy...that kind of thing is so hard to take. It always amazes me how many people don't think of their children first.Rooster is going to be stealing my laptop soon...but I'll try to do better at dropping in!

Thank you! If Jo Jo hadn't found me that riducuously cheap flight, I would have had to take a Greyhound bus home from Seattle... I am doing a lot better this week and I am truly enjoying my classes. I told one of my group members that she needed to either shape up or ship out. Thank you for the support and I will be going to court that day. The hardest thing about all of this, is that next Tuesday the 21st will be her 4th birthday and the first one that my family will not be celebrating. My bro did the best thing and that was hire a lawyer. I am looking forward to Pride in October, when a few of us from the dash site are going to get together on October 10th and have a blast. Scoot, if you, Jo Jo and the kids want to attend then come join us and help us make Orlando never forget us...Hehe... How are you doing tonight? smiles. I am glad you are doing alot better this week.. and you are welcome. That is just a shame ... having her go through her birthday with all of this going on. You know I would like to say.. well she is 4 and she will not remember it.. however, kids these days are alot more "savvy" and pick up on things I think.. than even when I was that age... I remember bits and pieces.. however, even My niece and nephew remember things from a young age.. I hope there is some way to let her have a special day.. even with all of this going on. Oh and you are right.. the best thing your brother could have done was getting that lawyer.. he needs to get everything hammered out and down on paper.. That is cool that you are going to "do up" Pride in October.. that will be a nice break for you from your studies and all of the family stuff going on. When she comes home, we are going to throw her a huge ass birthday party. I just finished both of my quizzes for the biolgoy lab class and since I have been up since 5am, I am thinking of going to bed early and finish my anatomy homework in the morning.
