I think the scent of spicy applesauce--or apple/pear sauce--on the stove is quintessentially Fall... it's my own signal to myself that Summer has left the building and it is OKAY to cook and bake again.
This thing about the turning seasons, I dunno who thought of it but I'm mighty glad they did! What joy it brings to life! |
