Good Evening Jake,

The crazy weather in Michigan and Pennsylvania, had me puzzled when I first moved up north from Florida. After a month in MI, I grew to love that crazy weather and I truly do miss it now that I am back in Florida...

I am feeling confident about my AP2 class and my midterm for that class is next Monday for the lab part and the lecture midterm is on the 18th. I have been keeping up with all of the lecture outlines and lab worksheets and had my AP professor cracking up at me today. We had to dissect a calf's heart and explain to him what all of the parts were. I was telling him so fast, that he had to tell me to slow down and breathe, lol....

You are welcome about the compliment!

Have fun tonight!

Zimmy

Wow.. those classes sound awesome.. I loved all of the law classes I had to take.. business law especially.. went though that and ended with an A... I am glad you are loving your Micro Lab Prof.. that (as you know) makes alot of difference to how you approach and get through a class. Just listening to you talk about school makes Me miss going... Maybe I should go back? hmmmmmms?

smiles.. thank you for the kind words (in agreeing with Jo Jo).

I hope you had a peaceful weekend and your Monday is going well.

Good evening all

Dinner is chicken breasts cooked in a little olive oil, butter and sauteed onion....with homemade mac & cheese and green beans....and no clue about dessert I'm trying to avoid the sweets, and it's working some of the time

Hope you all had a great day....and I'm glad to hear that school is going well Zimmy.

We rescued a baby turtle from the high school parking lot today (where it would almost certainly have been run over), and just went for a drive down to the park by the river to turn him loose. We thought about trying to make him into a pet, but he didn't seem impressed... when Scoote put him at the edge of the river he plopped right in and swam away

I am adding some ice cream to dinner and dinner sounds very yummy and thanks Jo Jo!

I fed two stray cats tonight that I saw in a parking lot on my way home from school. My old roommate's cat, Athena was a rescue cat and I love her to death.

Hope you all are having a good night!

my sister had one of those rescue turtles for 14 years! when she gave him to me i eventually let him go...he was BORED and LONELY. She was like "how will he eat?! he doesn't know how to survive in the wild!" i was like "they are scavengers! they eat whatever floats by!" and then she said "how will he protect himself?" i said "he's a turtle! he'll just close up!"

long story short- i took him to the bayou and set him down about six feet from the water's edge. He took off so fast he was a blur! Charged right into that water and swam off as fast as he could, never looking back. I marked the day in my journal as "Turtle Liberation Day"

Yep, exactly! I often think that, while cats and dogs have been domesticated to be our pets for yonks, all the other critters we like to keep have had less time to adapt to that...and I wonder if they'd pick that life if they had the choice. When I lived in Australia I got a pair of galahs....pink and grey relatives of the cockatoo. The older of the two (a female) literally would spend all of her waking time trying to break out of the cage....so one day I opened the sliding glass door to the patio, opened the cage door, and invited them both to fly away. The female took off like she was shot out of a cannon, straight over the beach and out of sight. The male (who was younger) hopped on top of the cage and proceeded to walk, hop and climb all over the apartment....then join me on the couch. We never closed the cage door again, and I frequently took him outside with me into the yard. He never chose to leave....and I felt much better about having him for a pet.

In other news....coffee is on, fresh pineapple is sliced for easy nibbling, and I'm thinking about cheddar cheese omelets and toast!

Hope you're all doing well this Veterans Day. It's sunny and warm here...and while the big cats are disturbed by the new kitten (gray with white paws and belly....named Grayson), the dog has appointed himself babysitter and substitute mama.

My sweetie is still for a bit, but has to go to work today....and I'm (technically) already there...so I better go be productive.

Hugs to you all and for my sweetie....

(((((( morningstar)))))) ... I hear you on this honey....I've been single more than I've been partnered, and it does get lonely. And, yes, dogs are nice, but it sure isn't the same thing.

The one thing I'll say is that you ex is full of it...sounds like one of those nasty things that jerks say as they go out the door, trying to make themselves feel better. As hard as it is, always try to remember that nasty remarks and criticisms usually have more to do with the sender than the receiver.

I know that friends aren't the same as a partner....but you do have friends here.

Good Evening My friend,

Thank you for the hot cocoa and tea. I am drinking iced tea at the moment. However, I am seeing some french pressed coffee in My future. It was actually nice here today considering the time of year. The sun was finally out and there was a slight breeze. But once that sun sets, the temps drop considerably. So coffee it is. Nods, I was in Florida for a year and a year was enough. Entirely too hot for Me. I like the change of seasons, even if the change is slight. I would not want to live in a climate that is constant hot or cold.

Well, I am glad you are feeling confident about the class. Confidence, is key. If you walk in there with the mindset that you will do well.. then you will. Just keep those positive thoughts flowing. Although I have to say I would not be one for dissecting a calf's heart.. cringes. So, kudos to you for being able to do it.

Good luck on getting help with your rent. I am sure there are plenty of resources where you are. Remember we are all here for you and I am sending you good vibes and lighting a candle as well.

Big Hugs.

As Always,
Jake

Good Evening Jake,

On Monday we got to dissect a calf heart and I was the first one to stick my fingers in it to find out where to start cutting it. Ended up, that my professor had to do it, the supplier had mushed the hearts so bad, that even he couldn't figure it out. But he was suprised when I started naming off all four of the valves in the heart and all of the blood vessels without him quizzing me..Woohoo...I am so looking forward to this lab midterm.

There is a cool breeze blowing right now, so it is kind of chilly outside, but it feels wonderful. The summers here can be horrible and I don't look forward to them..

Have a good night and how is Ms. MStar doing?

Zimmy

That is my kind of breakfast! Now all I need is an urn of coffee to stick a straw in.

Have a good day!

Amen to that! Holy cow that looks yummy morningstar!

Welcome to the thread Kobi and good morning all

I have a crazy busy day at work (aka on my computer in the bay window at the front of the great room lol)....but I'm catching up, so that always feels good. I go to AZ for a few days next week and they've already got me scheduled with back-to-back meetings (plus lunch at my favorite Mexican restaurant for the best blue corn and chicken enchiladas on the planet). I love my company!

Have a great day everyone ....and to my baby...

Zimmy, best of luck on the quizzes, I know you'll give it your best shot.

Good luck on your business trip! I loved it when I went to Chicago for job training...The skyline was gorgeous at night and we all went to Gino's East Pizzeria for dinner the first time and the Reagle Beagle the second time plus a visit to Navy Pier.

Have fun this weekend!

Good Morning Zimmy,

I am sorry however, no matter how you say it.. it is STILL not something I would like to try. I shall leave it to the experts or those such as yourself learning to be experts. laughs.

It is definately getting to be wintry weather here. We usually have some type of overcast now.. last night it was rain.. with a little snow mix.. soon it will be just SNOW.. laughs.. I am looking forward to it. The hardening of the ground... so that Spring can come and start everything fresh again. smiles.

As for MStar, I would guess you could pose the question to her. We are no longer seeing each other. Tis all for the best and everything happens for a reason, yes?

I hope you have a peaceful Tuesday and do not study too hard.

As Always

Good Morning Jake,

I should knobby tonight what my grade will be for the lab midterm I took yesterday, but mist students feel like they failed. I am still hoping for an A, and shooting for a C. I miss seeing snow, and the leaves changing colors. I'm thinking of moving back to Boston one day.

Hugs and have fun today!
