There is a mod for this but I am doing some reading on it and several users have reported an significant slowdown with bandwidth. More reading....
And Selly? I'm with you on this one. I would want an option to turn it off. I keep mine turned off most of the time on facebook. NAAG - What would feel different to you about the Facebook-style messaging than the Private Messaging system? Less response time?
