I have been absent from this thread for a few days, having only minutes to spend doing what I can not justify giving less time to then it deserves.
I light my candle today, not asking for things, but thanking for what is given. I am thankful and awed by what has been given me. Thankful for the smile that spreads across my face, for the opportunity to see things in a way that I was unable to just a small time ago. I am thankful that I have found such a loving and generous soul who wants to be a part of my life in so many ways. I am thankful for the new understanding that perfect is NOT an obtainable goal, and neither is it one that would make me happy. I am thankful for new friendships and shared laughter, for quiet conversations and boisterous games. I am thankful for the shared idea that it is not what you did with life you take with you, but how much you enjoyed it, and how much you helped others to do the same. I am just so grateful, so thankful today. I hope I remain this way for some time.

My dear friend Jodi has been struggling with cancer now for two years. She recently got pnemonia..And this morning at 5 am...Transended...May she feel the freedom now she didn't have here.
I light a candle in my home and on here today...For her children and grandchildren and all who truely miss her..that they will be comforted that during her passing..she felt no pain. And that they feel her presence as I do. I will miss you very much Jodi but I will also keep my promise to watch over your children. Rest in peace my dear friend!
