2010 Memories...

What was my favorite in 2010!

Day? : The 1-year anniversary of the Planet. Such a proud feeling to see how the community righted itself and came together to be reborn bigger and better.

Adventure? : Every day of 2010 has been an adventure. Not kidding. This has been the fastest-paced year of my life and I'm loving every minute of it.

Book?: Believe it or not, "Exquisite Corpse" by Poppy Brite was my fave. It's about 2 Gay cannibalistic necrophiliacs. It wasn't so much the story but more that this book reminded me how much I love a good piece of fiction.

Event? Reunion 2010 by far. In a word: Amazing.

Exercise? Does power-cleaning count?

Experience?: Having so many houseguests this year that we love. Finally being in a home where we have enough room to actually have guests has been pretty amazing.

Hobby? : Learning new tech stuff which has entailed countless hours of reading and surfing (both, other favorite hobbies of mine!)

Idea? : Not telling yet

Lesson?: That making excuses for people's bad behavior does not help them. That usually when you get a whole bunch of different stories that don't make sense, that it usually means that the other person can't keep their bullshit strait, not that you have a bad memory.

Love? : The love of friends, family, our beloved Gracie, and most of all - myself.

Meal? : Relearning how to love cooking at home - Mission accomplished!

Memory? : Walking down to the Meet and Greet at the Reunion, hand in hand with Jack and seeing a whooooole lot of people we love hugging and mingling.

Movie? : Didn't see any movies that totally stand out but got totally hooked on "Hoarders".

Song? : "I Gotta Feeling" - Blackeyed Peas

TV Show? : "Hoarders" again!

The best thing that happened to me in 2010 was: Celebrating a year in our first home together, celebrating a year on the Planet, Celebrating a year at my job.

The worst thing that happened to me in 2010 was: Dealing with outside insanity.

What did I do for myself this year?: Recommitted to personal writing and projects.

What are three things I was reluctant to do, but did them anyway?: Worked a fuckload of hours at my job
Purged the hell out of the office and closets
Donated some of my favorite clothing items to the FemmeSwap (it was worth it!)

If I could change one thing about myself in 2011, what would it be? : I plan work harder on eating healthy and maintaining healthy boundaries.

If I could change one thing about my life in 2011, what would it be? : My group at work would suddenly gain 2 new employees to take the load off of all of us!

What are three things I WILL change or do differently in 2011?
I will devote more time to creative pursuits.
I will completely organize my office.
I will do that thing Im doing that Im not talking about.

What are three things I was reluctant to do, but want to do in 2011?
Im not crazy about going for my pap and breast exam but Im going (Goddamit!)
Im also not crazy about having more dental work done, but Im going (DAMMIT!)
Im seriously not interested in clearing more of our land, lest I find snakes but it needs to be done and Im going to lend a hand. (DAMMIT!)

Get those exams!! I missed about 4-5 years in a row and then finally went and got a pap and had a bad result which led to surgery, and then a required 4 paps in one year. I had to get one every three months. Seriously not fun. Ok, not trying to put you off here but they can seriously save you a lot of problems. I'm fine now and have had two years of clear paps and I'm back to one a year again.

Adventure? Road trip with April (Hot-not) To the Little Rock Reunion

Book? I didn’t have a favorite

Event? The First Butch Femme Planet Reunion in Little Rock. OMG that’s all I can say!!

Exercise? Well if I was having sex I’d say that. So I guess jogging?

Experience? Butchfemmeplanets Reunion.

Hobby? Sports!

Idea? If I told you all, You would run out and get a patent… lol

Lesson? People aren’t always what they appear to be.

Love? My Family and Friends.. (My BF Peeps!!!)

Meal? Anything Mom is cookin!!

Memory? BFP Reunion!

Movie? Precious (I think I seen this at the beginning of the year)

The best thing that happened to me in 2010 was... I met some amazing new people in Little Rock.

The worst thing that happened to me in 2010 was... I started my change, found that out in Little Rock.. lol

What did I do for myself this year? Bought a new car

What are three things I was reluctant to do, but did them anyway?
1) Bought a new car
2) Told someone to suck it! And I don’t mean “suck it”
3) Joined Facebook

If I could change one thing about myself in 2011, what would it be? To get back on track with my health… quit smoking and eating healthier.

If I could change one thing about my life in 2011, what would it be? Let life happen.

What are three things I WILL change or do differently in 2011?
1) Not take things/life so serious.
2) Don’t sweat the small stuff
3) Let go a little easier.

What are three things I was reluctant to do, but want to do in 2011?
1) Meet the “right one” for me. Taking a chance on New beginnings.
2) To get the courage to go back to the Doctor to for a second look at that mammogram that I have put off for far too long.
3) Look at my long term goals.

The only stuff I have read this year has been for work, except The Secret Garden.

Chasing one of my kid client's down the street, does that count?

In February, was the first time that I was the one who ended the relationship. Rather liberating.

Hobby?

Poker.

Idea?

Re-arrange my living room furniture, makes a huge difference (got some help with this idea though)

It's better to be alone than to be with someone who makes you unhappy.

Live somewhere that makes me happy.

1. I will be a part of National Health Service Corps
2. I will not be in Louisville by the end of the year (wherever NHSC takes me)
3. I will continue to do what makes me happy.

What are three things I was reluctant to do, but want to do in 2011?
1. Put myself out there more.
2. Continue to go for what I want.
3. Leave Louisville by the end of the year.

Day? When I got my new work visa

Adventure? Moving to L.A.

Book? The Barefoot Running Book

Event? Little Rock Reunion

Exercise? Running in minimalist shoes for 3 months and actually LOVING it

Experience? Being a bachelor for 4 months and realize how much I missed having K beside me

Hobby? Getting my first pipe and finding I enjoy it

Idea? Raw Vegan Diet

Lesson? Let things happen as they will.

Love? Continuing and improving what is already great!

Meal? Christmas Dinner with Family in Montreal

Memory? It's a toss up between Christmas in Montreal and Little Rock

Movie? Hrmm.. toss up between the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Inception

Song? Lily Allen's F*ck You

TV Show? Only one? Doctor Who and The Walking Dead

Moving to Los Angeles to be with K again.

Moving across country -- I'm tired of moving

Finally arrange for top surgery

Move to LA. (now try and see if I will leave! HA!)
Be without K for 4 months
Start running again

If I could change one thing about myself in 2011, what would it be?

Go back to fully raw vegan. I felt so alive when I did it last year.

If I could change one thing about my life in 2011, what would it be?

Stop my spending so I can finally pay off my credit cards completely. Last year's move added so much to them.

What are three things I WILL change or do differently in 2011?

Reduce spending (avoid credit cards and pay only in cash and if I don't have the cash don't buy it)
Get back into cycling
Start barefoot running and try a half-marathon in the fall

What are three things I was reluctant to do, but want to do in 2011?

Go back to raw vegan
Get my driver's license (FINALLY!)
Get back into buddhist learning
