I am so glad to see this thread!!!!!!

I'm new to farmville or at least new to actually trying to get a farm going. Was glad to see we could buy additional clothes and shoes for our characters....whew.

I have a couple questions.

One ......i have these christmas presents in my gift tab at the bottom and everytime i try and open it says "wooooooooah there partner, you have to have a tree first" and shows me what the tree looks like but won't let me buy one and i've looked everywhere trying to figure out where to buy one.

Also...same thing with valentines gifts. It tells me i have to have some sort of Valentine mailbox and i can't locate it to buy it.

Maybe i'm not far enough in the levels to get these? I'm just at level 19...total newby here.

with the valentines, i think you can collect them but cant do anything with them yet, it tells me that the valentines mailbox is coming soon.. i'll go check to be sure right now though..

as for the christmas one, the tree i believe you cant get anymore, its gone , =( but we were able to get the christmas tree in our market, once you placed it on your farm, you could collect gifts (or people could send you some) and then on christmas we were allowed to open the gifts our friends sent us.. i'm assuming those are the gifts you probably have.. if you didn't place a tree on your farm, you probably cant open them now..

going to check quick about the valentine mailbox to see if it's there yet! (it will probably show in the market as well if or when it's available) =)

okay yeah the valentines mailbox isnt there yet.. it should be soon though! but , if you have a cupids castle, there are lil challenges you can do and gives you some prizes each t ime you complete them..

when you get a castle (if you dont already) you'll need the building supplies to build it and then upgrade it (bricks, etc) and then, once thats done, you'll see a lil thingy you can click on to the left of your farm, it'll have an arrow pointing to it telling you what your challenges are.. (like to buy something or plant tulips or stuff like that)

hope this helps, i cant wait for the valentines.. i was just browsing through the market and seen all the pink stuff and want so much of it!! soooo cute heh...

oh and if you need to know anything, ask away, =) i know i certainly don't mind answering, im sure the others here would too!
