My sweetheart...
Shoveling, shoveling, shoveling so I don't have to step in snow... (Then I go to work and shovel my clients walk way... grin...) Her driving me to work and then taking an early lunch to carry me home... Cause there might have been BLACK ICE and I don't like the ice and don't wanna drive on the ice and I don't have to deal with anything that I can't see but might have drivers crashing into me... So.. she drove on perfectly dry, non icy roads to prevent the BLACK ICE from gettting me... Grin...

- putting in for a week off to celebrate my birthday, but getting not 1, but 2 weeks off instead...yaaaaay.. i decided since i never celebrate my birthday each year that this year i would be good to myself, do some things i've been wanting to do, spend it with people that mean a lot to me, and relax and work on getting my life in order because i owe it to myself... so a 2 week birthday celebration is on the way.. *grinz*

My neighbor came over to thank me for interceding when his 16 year old daughter had an unauthorized, unsupervised, underage drinking party this weekend while he was away. The daughter came over to apologize and thank me as well. Apparently she knew things were getting out of control but was reluctant to call the police because it might affect "her standing with her peers". Apparently an adult calling the police actually signifies a successful party and increased her standing with the group. How can you not smile at the way the mind of a 16 year old works?

Making a difference to a young mother with a 5 year old who was recently diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.....and setting them up with a Care Manager who can help her navigate the system.
Getting some wonderful text messages from my oldest niecie....about her Valentine's Dance and her sweetheart that's taking her to the dance as "just friends but daddy doesn't know yet". Damn I love that girl!!
