I enjoy wearing my hiking boots, bluejeans and favorite well worn Tshirt ah-hell-of-a-lot better than I like wearing fancy dress/work clothes and uncomfortable dress shoes/boots. (I don't like being told I am a "girl" or I look "femmie".)
I would rather go on a long hiking/camping trip than be locked up in a stuffy old building all day or go shopping. I miss hiking on Skyline Drive and spending the day next to a secluded waterfall. I want to get my pilot's license and also learn to teach Tai Chi and Self Defense Classes. My dream home is a small cabin or Yurt, very secluded and far away from "civilization"....far enough away that the US Mail doesn't even make deliveries. I'd have my pilot's license and a plane or helicopter to go get supplies when I needed to stock up. |

I LOVE tangerines. Most fruit I love but especially tangerines
I can never remember jokes. Nor movies. Nor books. I can have a vague notion of what happened but have to watch it all over again to get it. Unless its like the Wizard of Oz...Of course I know what happens! I am terrified of getting hurt. Always have been. So its stopped me from roller skating, sled riding, swimming, etc. My mother convinced me as a youngster that if I tried any of these things, I would break a leg or something. To this day, I panic if someone tries to get me to try one of these activities. (Yet, I have ridden a horse down the side of a rocky hill, through a rough river and into bellyhigh snow drifts...) I never went to kindergarten I am good friends with a well known professional magician.

This morning, I woke up in a panic, thinking that I'd left the dog outside last night. I hadn't. But, now I'm wide awake.
I'm noticing a change in my mood as we are getting some of the clutter handled and stuff cleared out of the house. It's a good change. I think my daughter would rather spend time at her dad's house, now that he lives with his fiancee and her two young children. I understand, but, ![]() We have four of the most interesting cats, ever. All so affectionate and funny. We are so lucky to have great neighbors. One of them was on our roof for several hours last night, chopping ice and pushing off tons of snow. We sent pizza (to his house, not the roof).

![]() *I love big screen tvs, but don't have one. *A screened in porch is something of a must have for me. *I enjoy watching fire works, but hate the noise after they explode. I would much rather watch them on TV and turn off the sound. *Sliding on the floor in my socks is fun to do. *I have to thank Jack and Linus for turning me onto pipes. They calm me down quite a bit. ![]() |

I write really creepy stories that would probably make you not want to talk to me. Seriously. I rarely let anyone see them. I have had a few of them published in tiny obscure publications. I didnt even get paid. Under a different name. Dont ask. I wont share. I started this type of writing after reading a Steven King book about writing. I went deep and dark and these came out.
I often wonder why we have so few cemetaries when so many people have died over the years. Think about it. Seriously. Just in the past five years, in our country, the number of deaths that have occurred would have filled how many graves in already existing cemetaries? If our populations are aging and more people are dying, why are we building homes at a faster rate than we are developing new cemetaries? And where are the cemetaries for the people from a hundred years ago? two hundred? I find rudeness is the self righteous cousin of bulliness I chew ALOT of gum I have lost 2" off my height over the years...

@Softness-good question. Probably, many have been lost to urban development or simply overgrown. Most cemeteries were one or two families, very small. The huge garden creations came about only around the turn of the last century (Forest Lawn,Spring Grove, etc.). Preservation and maintenance began when cemeteries became almost another city park, except with people buried in it.
1. This one's pretty obvious-I love cemeteries, and they don't squick me out at all. I'd be a celebrity grave hunter, if I lived in a celebrity town, but I don't want to disrespect their resting places, either. I would have a field day (no pun intended) in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn alone, but it is closed up tight. 2. I can sight-read music; sometimes play a tune just by ear. 3. I can somewhat read Russian; speaking and actually forming sentences is another story. I like to teach myself languages for fun. 4. Crime and Punishment might be my favorite book. (No, I don't read that in Russian :P) 5. I love true-crime books. I always need a collection of Ann Rule for airplane rides.
