.....love it all, artie shaw, benny goodman, glenn miller, the andrews sisters, grew up after the war in the 50's listening to all that stuff on the "wireless" as it was called.............I particularly love the musichall stuff though, heres Ella Shields with "Burlington Bertie" - i used to do this in drag but this is one of the originals..................enjoy

Jaques, I loved this! Thanks for contributing it. Funny, I recently saw a movie starring Betty Grable, Dan Daily, et al called 'Mother Wore Tights', and they sang this song. I also have heard it by Julie Andrews in The Star. I had no idea it goes back so far in time. I hope you will continue to post your favorites.
