so... i moved from cape coral just in time for winter last year... after 15 yrs i gotta tell ya...
i pert near froze my ass off... not only are GA winters a real bitch... i think the last 2 yrs were record breaking cold as hell winters... i have been thankful that i am seemingly over winter... its getting up to around 60 in the heat of the day... could get as low as 20 at night tho... so... its still not good... my family rags me because i walk around layered up in scarfs or hoodys... i can deal with this... i deal with lots of stuff... now it seems i will deal with yous bunch reminding me of how perfect it is in FL right now... sigh... gotta good lager in here anywhere??? -blass |

Good evening everyone
 We're keeping it simple, so it's cheeseburgers for dinner...  We've had a busy last two days...kitty-proofing the wooden fence in the backyard, and going overboard in the plant department at Lowe's. Now there's a strawberry pot by the pool...orchids repotted and happy....some fun tropical-looking stuff to plant by the kids' bedroom windows...The boys worked hard the last two days helping me, so this afternoon was down time. The boys decided to stay home and relax while Scoote and I headed to the beach. It was a beautiful day, low tide...just gorgeous. Not sure what tomorrow holds...maybe a little housework, a little more work in the yard, maybe baking some cookies. Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

i was happy as hell because it was warm enough to open my door while i did spring cleaning...

 Coffee is on...and breakfast is ready... Add a little fresh pineapple maybe.... Heading off to get dressed in a minute...we're taking the Rooster to Lion Country Safari today. I know he'll love it....and me too...this means I get to feed a giraffe! Hope you all have a great day!

 Actually I'm a "rulester"...so I keep the windows up. They do have a walk through part where the guests can go up in a 2 story gazebo and feed the giraffes by hand (for a fee, of course). It's their healthy food, not the junk people would give them if left to their own devices, and it's up to the giraffes to stroll up and eat if they want it. I loved it....they have immensely long blue tongues that they wrap around the food (and frequently your hand) to take it.

We had a really nice day...fed the giraffes and the budgies and lorikeets, saw an ostrich get tail-gated (he didn't appear to care a bit), got stuck in a gnu and antelope traffic jam ...and Scoote tried to encourage a rhino to ram a Winnebago (no luck ).We stopped at the beach for a quick visit (where our flip-flops got stolen)....and I'm now baking chocolate chip cookies...while Scoote had to run back to work briefly. Definitely a nice weekend.

Good MOrning everyone we had snow again and now the guy wants 75 dollars to do the walk and the driveway... what a rip off I tell ya they are always trying to get you here in the Northeast!! I didn't go to water aerobics because of the weather this morning and feel so tired and groggy from not working out!!
