(I saw a History Channel special on us the other day) We had a beer machine in the dayroom of the barracks and the beer was 25 cents....yes beer for a quarter and there was only beer in the machine....no sodas. We also had a pool table and an ice machine. Smokes were either 25 cents or 50 cents.'
