I've seen quite a few of the nominated films (for the top 6 awards), I liked most of them actually.
My picks: Best Picture & Direction: Black Swan/Aronofsky Best Actress: Natalie Portman (but I wouldn't be sad if Annette Benning one) Best Actor: Colin Firth or Javier Bardem Best Supporting Actress: Hailee Steinfeld Best Supporting Actor: Geoffrey Rush I did not see 'The Fighter' or '127 Hours' or 'Winter's Bone', though they all look interesting.

I feel badly this year that I haven't gone to see ANY of the nominated films. I usually have seen most of them at this point in the year! I seem to know an awful lot about them, but I have totally slacked off on going to the movies.
I plan on watching anyway tonight and hope to watch a few of the ones I keep reading about and that pique my interest at a later date! I loveeee looking at the dresses/outfits etc. and reading the Best/Worst Dressed Lists! For those who like that kind of thing, there is this website, projectrungay.blogspot.com, and these guys go into very hilarious reviews of the outfits for different events (and of course for Project Runway as well). I already went out and got myself some Coke Zero, nachos and cheese dip for the festivities! |

Usually don't care about the Oscars but this year I really think The King's Speech deserves the recognition. Also would be cool to see Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter win in their respective roles.

I watched most of them and look forward to seeing the ones I haven't pretty soon.
Here are my picks: Best Picture & Direction: Black Swan/Aronofsky Best Actress: Natalie Portman Best Actor: Javier Bardem Best Supporting Actress: Hailee Steinfeld Best Supporting Actor: Christian Bale (I don't like him but I think he is going to win anyway) I did not go out and get munchies, perhaps I should call for some ![]() |

True Grit - Best Pic, director, best actor, best supporting actress.
Black Swawn - best actress. I couldn't get into Inception or The King's Speech. I liked Social Network but not enough. I haven't seen the Fighter or 127 hours. I'm looking forward to watching 127. Did I miss any? |
