Nice! I've got a Bill Blass Frock Tux jacket that I wish still fit or wasn't too expensive to have tailored because I LOVE frock tux jackets. Im about to e-bay and then try to find one similar to the pic you posted that fits

I prefer jeans, t-shirt (usually a Harley t-shirt) and either tennis shoes or my Harley boots; during the winter I add my leather riding Harley jacket. During the summer I prefer jean shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes. When times arise that I have to dress us, I choose my best pair of dark jeans and boots.

I have to admit it is fun to come in here and listen to you all talk clothes. Makes me smile. I just wanted to add a word of support that us femmes do really appreciate your well dressed efforts. Well dressed and smelling good says your date is worth the effort.

As a femme that loves to shop for Butch clothes (not for me silly) I would like to add there are many pieces that can be classy yet have an edge that is fun. European sexy. One of those is good leather pieces (yum) The feel and smell add a nice element. There are classic leather pieces that can be worked for a sexy variety, like black leather pants and a really good black turtleneck. With jewelry, don't forget some jewelry.Or a turtle neck with a classy leather jacket. Or cashmere mixed with leather pieces. The textures make you fun to snuggle up to........

I realize you all have your own styles, but it doesn't hurt to chime in. Also an EBAY tip*** Don't be afraid of EBAY stores in other countries if their shipping is reasonable, and their rating high. I shop all over the world, and find there are countries where your dollar goes further. Especially with Leather and jewelry. I have been very happy with my foreign country purchases. Amazed even. Also buy several pieces from the same vendor and you often get lower shipping.....

I love ebay for vintage clothing. I've scored some fantastic vintage waistcoats and skinny ties. Sadly items that actually fit me are few and far between. Age 14/15 is my size Ebay is great for finding Levis 501s too, I have loads of pairs, they look great with Harley boots, a funky shirt and a jacket.

Best thing about living in the frozen tundra now: Being able to wear button downs and my ties. When I lived in the South, there were about five days a year that were cold enough for even long-sleeved button downs. Of course, the flip side is it being so cold you don't take your jacket off, so nobody sees it. LOL

Just checking out the threads and stumbled across this! Love a 3 piece suit with a button down shirt, cufflinks, tie and brogues but that's more for an occasion - theatre/opera or a special night out/party. For more of our community events/clubs I like my leather braces, shirt, jeans and boots. Right now, it's so hot here... cargos and wifebeaters or a tshirt.

Sometimes, too often, really, I find myself posting and then don't go back to thread I caught this post today that MasterWolf posted. It reminds me of a thought that passes through my mind when I've read about the femme clothing swap ... that is, are there any butches who might have interest in the same?
My buddy Alex is currently the recipient of shirts that don't fit and also a vintage jacket bought from eBay which was incorrectly sized Gawd I loved that coat! Leather buttons ...
Anyway, does anyone else have items of clothing and have interest in some sort of swap? Or, should we do this at Reunion? Just curious.

Unfortunately, I can't wear a men's suit to work ... my gay male E.D. would kill me. Long story ... There aren't enough occasions for me to wear them, but I do seek opportunity to do so. Haven't yet worn a tie with button down ... it has been a no no within certain (older and well heeled) fashions.

Where I have shirt interest is in the "cut away" shirts worn in Europe. They've taken off in the states, and even in some shops on eBay. Also, if you don't have a short neck, the long neck shirts have become a fad in some circles. Some of these are rather outrageous, IMHO, but there are some beautiful designs. I have found that dress shirts from Express (men's) have always fit correctly....length in arms and of course, shoulder seams. The biggest downfall for butches...wearing shirts that have shoulder seams down on their biceps. Bugs me. I know it is tough to find ones that fit, but I don't think a lot of folks even think about it. It makes a BIG difference in how well a shirt looks.

(side note: it has been quite a few years since I bought from Express, however. I bought like 10 shirts (including doubles) in practically every color they had at the time!) Oh, also Calvin Klein works for me as well, not as perfect, but that has been where I have been purchasing the last few years since I now have access to an oulet store.

FYI: Frog Bra is no more

Many butches/FTMs have used the Frog bra from title nine sports alone or in conjunction with binders. I have been meaning to come on to post to let folks know that title nine is no longer making it, and evidently, the replacement sucks according to the comments and riot over the discontinuation of the Frog Bra. Supposedly, it was discontinued b/c they were unable to get the fabric they had gotten in the past.

Here is the replacement.

How things fit ... according to one's shape. I include the measurements to make sure that a shirt fits my waist, abs, and, if long tails, hips. I can't wear a fit shirt because, while they may fit my chest, they do not fit the rest of me, and I am uncomfortable in snug clothing ... well, some exceptions there, but I ain't talkin' bout that!

Still interested in seeing if any butches want to think about doing a clothes swap ...

I am including it b/c many butches use this bra (I have seen it noted on every b/f site I have been on), and some FTMs prior to reconstructive surgery. :-)

found this handy guide for folks who consider buying on line ... or, if you've never purchased from a mens store, can walk into one with the sense of knowing, and the confidence that brings, what size that you wear.
Andy's Guide informs the reader about such things as why someone with a, for instance, 38 chest wears a 42 jacket, etc. Again, for someone either new to such information or who has curiosity about tailoring cloths.

I was browsing a femme lingerie blog post and admiring all the thought put into sleepwear. I started to wonder, if a femme type person dresses up in a silk nightgown or pajamas, just for sleeping, what do they expect a butch type person to wear? She's sleeping in a silk chemise and you're in what? Somehow I don't think old flannel boxers and tattered t-shirts are the thoughtful choice. I can't for the life of me think of anything. Just wondering is all.

they do make silk boxers & pj pants...not sure bout shirts...but there is a start...or completely old school with the silk pants & button up set...I don't know where to get them but that is an idea...
My Fav wants to wear are some super soft ones...who can resist touching those? Lol
