i have to say....it's just freakin' cool to see the stage from the back side out to the house. hoping they'll eventually let me bring camera gear along as well. i think it'd make for some cool shots.

So. I have great memories of making Easter baskets for the group home kids when I was younger (my parents have always been big into the foster home/charity thing) - coloring eggs and putting together baskets for kids who wouldn't have anything else; thinking about how it would brighten their day.

If I found an Alzheimer's home, or a group home nearby, would you want to come the Friday before Easter and help make little Easter baskets for them? Probably a couple dozen or so. It's something I'm thinking about doing this year, maybe throw a little thank you to the universe or whatever for all the good stuff that keeps landing in my lap. Besides, I like to color easter eggs, and it is so much more fun with a purpose and a bunch of people.

Yay or nay? I'd have the eggs, basket makins, jelly beans etc.
Trying to see if it's worth talking about having peeps over (hee get it, peeps?) Send me a PM or text if Yay. That would be Friday evening, Apr 22.

Yes, we could spice it up with some Wii and Fact or Crap or Cranium and adult beverages. Duh.
And of course, you know this house wouldn't have people over without also offering a buttload of food (that's a nice image, huh?) this time around, it'll probably be ordered in, not homemade.

i'd be happy to help. i like an opportunity or two to toss good stuff back to the universe. i'd also be willing to make and bring some dessert type stuff. we sure don't need to keep all that here at the house...but i sure like making it.

lemme know what else i could do to help. my only disclaimer is that i'm in if i don't have to work that night.

If there is any way I can shift some hours around, I'm all over this. What a fabulous idea, Pup!

I googled Buttload Of Food in the images.

I sooooo do not want to know why Nicolas Cage shows up. Nope. Don't want to know. Going to my happy place now. lalalalala

Potluck Ohne Grund

Date: Sunday, April 10, 2011
Time: 4pm-??
What: Bring a dish to share
BYOB

I have no games so bring games too. We can just hang out and watch each other age if you like. No theme. No plan. Just show up with food.

We'll eat. We'll laugh. We'll tell bad stories on one another.

Batman will demonstrate his amazing lap surfing skills while Nayru flips her head. Flynn may or may not show up. He's a cat. That's what cats do.

I'll make pulled pork and have buns available.

OH! Iffn ya wanna, bring chairs for sitting on the patio.

I'd love it if you could RSVP. PM or here.

maybe. depends on whether i get work or not. thinking this is likely the busy season for theatre and concerts. and i really like paying bills (well, i like being able to) and i so seriously intend to get a motorcycle this year...work first.

but, if i can, i will. and, always willing to make desserts to be shared. even if i can't make it, i'll bet the desserts can. perhaps ash would be willing to be the delivery guy.

These both sound awesome. I'm throwing a tentative hat in the ring, as I haven't any idea at all what my manager is doing to/for the April schedule and Ebon has a new manager that's messing with his schedule too. *crossing fingers*

Congrats on the new line of work. Ryobi would be a great resource for any questions you may have, as this is his field and he's badass at it.

And not to be Debbie Downer on this wonderful party atmosphere.......

But I DID want You to be refreshed to know that our State Senate has their priorities in order, for during this evenings session, our Texas Senate will be adopting the State Cupcake........Berry Pecan.

All of that adopting stuff will be taking place as the AISD lays off over 800 teachers.........

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, YES!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE it that You're doing this!

I'll bring those Easter baskets that WT left if You like....aka devilled egg baskets! Shall I bring my paints, too?

How FUN!

I think eggs like that are made naturally, right?
And too bad about the Friday thing - but next Saturday thing....I'm out of wine, just sayin.
