i think if Casey, Lauren, Haley, or the Scotty were to get the boot Interscope would scoop them up. I'm not sure if Interscope has the rights to the top 10. I can tell you that the producer who helps the contestants each week isn't there to just help through the week. He is there to pick up the pieces as they fall (hence Pia was picked up).

Being in the industry i have my thoughts on the whole Idol concept. i think when you leave "big" decisions to the public it is a mistake. I think one runs into issues like with Pia. When you have websites geared to voting for the underdogs year after year and knocking out true talent there is a problem.

I also believe and have said from the beginning that it is "fixed" They know what makes for good programing and "good TV".

It is a business and business is in it to make money and when a label has to put out millions to make a number one song a hit on the charts they need to know they will recoup that money. You are not going to put that kind of money ESPECIALLY in these economical times into someone that is not going to be able to sell enough so the labels recoup what they put into them.

I really really REALLY do not like Jacob. He is smarmy and icky and makes my skin crawl.

Paul makes me smile.

Lauren is my fave of the girls but I think she made a huge mistake picking a Miley song.

Casey isn't my cuppa tea but he is very talented.

I have a soft spot for James because of the whole pushing through the Tourette's.

Scotty made me sad by not singing the first choice. I love love love that song and think it would have showcased his talent in a different way. Plus (shhhh) I'm not that fond of that particular song that he sang.

I don't vote because of my hours but I would vote for Scotty over and over and over. hee. I may have a crush.

Hailey is super talented.

And I was pleasantly surprised by Stephano--although I thought he was practicing his exit song.

I think Lauren, scotty, and james are the three safest ones this week.

I would be very surprised if Paul and Stefano weren't in the bottom three.

I really like Haley but her performance tonight could put her in the bottom however she may get votes because she is only one of two girls left.

I really like Casey but I don't hink his performance tonight came over the tv like it may have in real life.

I really haven't liked Jacob as much as in the auditions but tonights performance may have saved him from the bottom.

Jackob sure was a bit cowed tonight, wasn't he? I'm glad he was called out for his remark in the package last week. I don't care for him at all.

I missed Paul and Lauren's performances. I'm only upset about one of those. Guess which one?

I love Casey, but I'm worried about him with that song choice. Not picking easily recognizable songs has been the downfall of many contestants. He would have done Phil Collins so well too. Pity.

Haley's on a downward spiral for me. I just care less and less for her. She relies too much on the growl. Show me something more.

Scotty is well, Scotty. He'll have a record contract whether he wins or not. He's not my favorite or anywhere near my favorite, but I do recognize the talent that's there. The way he holds the mic really gets on my nerves though. I don't know why; it just does.

Stefano did well tonight, but his pipes are just not as strong as most of the others. He's in a losing battle, though her performed well tonight.

James really pushed it tonight. There's a fine line between standing one's ground on artistic integrity and dissing those helping you. He's toeing it. I did like his song though I worry that folks will remember the guitar solo more than his vocals. I think he'll get through but I hope he's not headed down the road to Cockyville.

Hmmm. I am thinking that either Jacob or Haley will go home tonight. Jacob acted like a 3 year old pouting on TV last night IMO. I found it rather off putting honestly.

I'm glad other people saw that! I was say he, Jacob, is the one up there that hasn't seemed to grown at all, just gone backwards.

The thing I like about stefano is he listens to what they say and atleast uses the information to fight back. Although I have to say last night I was thinking he looks better when he sings with his eyes closed .... his one eye was weird looking!

I agree, Jacob hasn't grown any as an artist during the process. To me, he has remained the same. I know a lot of people that are voting for him just because he is gay, but not me.

I like Scotty lol.

Stefano is a suck up and J-Lo had a crush on him since day one. Only reason he is still in it cause she praises up so much!

LMAO! I thought J had a crush on him as well. Too funny.

To be honest, usually at this point in American Idol, I would have 2-3 favorites that I would want to win. I can't really say that I have a favorite this year. Well, if I HAD to pick ONE, I would pick Scotty. Not sure why I don't have a few fav's. Maybe Idol seems a little more staged this season than it has on prior seasons???

I hope it's Jacob. I think Hailey has more to offer. She needs to dig a little deeper and stop relying on gimmicks.

Based on what i saw last night my bottom three would be Paul, Haley and Casey.

As I have said, Paul has outstayed his welcome, Haley was weak last night and my fear is Casey should have done in the Air Tonight instead of the song he picked. The public is finicky and if the audience voting doesn't know the song they are singing, this makes me nervous.

All the time Casey is singing the song i'm talking to the TV, bad choice, bad choice, you just sealed your fate.

As everyone said last night to Stefano, you have to sing to win not to stay. It's great to have integrity and be true to one self but this is a competition and you have to play to win, not be able to lay your head on your pillow and say you stuck to your guns and sang the song YOU wanted to sing.

Scotty .... While I like him as a country singer. I didn't like him last night... He will be in the top 3 (my prediction)

Paul... While I like his super unique style (he will get signed on with someone) because he is so unique ... I'm ready for him to go...

Jacob .... I like him singing gospel, he also will be signed by someone. He can go anytime too..

Casey... As for him... I truly love this kid.. talk about taking chances and risking everything by playing a stand up base and not changing himself. I like him.. I do hope he makes it to at least the top 4.

I'm getting a little concerned about Lauren, I didn't think she had such a great week.. I think it was safe. I want to hear her bust those pipes out, like she did when she sang to Steven

I hate to admit, Haley's voice is super sexy. But if she isn't singing raspy it's not that great. So if she left I wouldn't feel bad.

I never really liked Jacob that much. It's like he's holding back or something...I dunno, something missing there.

I'm positive I will NOT like who America (the kids) voted off tonight.
