I can tell some types of paper in old books apart by smell... there's a kind of Holland paper that smells like cocoa as it ages and decomposes, for instance.
That's a leftover skill from my best job ever: assistant to a rare book dealer. |

I hate my job!

i miss peanut butter banana samiches! grilled ones are yummy too! usually i like crunchy best, but since i got my ugly betty's... creamy is better.
i have 3 bros and 2 sis's, i'm the second kid and the first girl. i'm really close to all of them.. even tho we're spread all over the west coast. i have a 10 year old who is amazing, bright and has a hilarious sense of humor (which she get from me obviously!)  i work with low-income infants and toddlers and i love my job, but hate the politics and that my boss keeps trying to shove me back into the closet. if i could go anywhere it'd be brazil, or bolivia. i want to learn spanish and i have friends there. plus brazil is sposed to have a rockin public transit system. right now i'm in love with adel.  i don't have tv, i only watch netflix so no idol for me, but i do get to watch a lot of foreign films, documentaries and indie films which i think is pretty fantastic. |
