Light a candle

I light a candle for nurses, specifically Hospice nurses, from RN to CNA. May the light and energy give them strength to continue such a difficult job they do so well.

I light one for thanks, for my mom. She was a good heart, a good soul, and an imperfect being worth knowing.

And, I light one for me. Needing the extra light as I navigate through grief, "kid hurts", and things unresolved.

I have a dear friend who is slowly losing her Dad to dimentia.
Yesterday, the finally had to 'force' him into supervised care at a memory care facility. The Mom was supposed to join him today in a separate room.
This morning, he had a heart attack.
My friend is beside herself.

These candles are for my friend, her parents and their caregivers.

My thoughts and prayers are for the sick, poor, needy, homeless, hungry, and grieving. I also am praying for those who have lost hope. May God hear all of our silent prayers as well.

Peace and strength for her before, during and after anesthesia. For skilled hands by the doctors doing her procedure, and caring for her tomorrow. For strength as we anxiously pace, and that her partner can hold herself together until the results are known.

Rest and peace must be somewhere up the road
