The best gift one can be given to one's self, in a long time, is the gift to turn away. The road ahead is brighter and comes with healing with each step, as well as the gift to forgive at each stop sign. If what's behind us is not the same as for what is in front of us, then the road ahead was truly worth it.

Today I will remember that I have no control over others. I can only take the correct legal steps when my name is used. I will remind myself that those who know me know how I write and how I speak. They know issues I am passionate about and will not believe what is being assigned to my name. I will stay in my own hula hoop and stick to the places where I feel safe. I will ask that the Universe bless those people with so much joy that they have no time for hatred. I will ask that the Universe bless those who were maligned with so much joy that they can't help but celebrate. And then I will do my best to release this.

As cliche as this may sound though so many have said it for so many different reasons: Everything truly does happen for a reason. I learned quite some time ago to let Fate My guide.. because I realized I did not have control over My life, like I thought I had. So through the bad storms that have been weathered, good has come from those travels as well. I find it is ok to not always have to prove your point. Because quite simply the other side has already made up their mind and is no longer listening. I live by the words of My late Dad, atleast you gave it a shot. Now hold your head high and shoulders square, and kill them with kindness. I woke this morning feel resolute. I will do what must be done. I will follow My compass. I will have determination. I will lack for nothing that I need to make this journey. The journey of life. We all have the tools (and some have relearn now to use them).. to make it through this journey. We just need to figure out what those tools are for and how to implement them. I will dig in My bag of tools today and find My purpose and begin again...with an unbearable lightness of being.

Today I will attempt to see anything I am involved with from more than one perspective. If I feel myself getting stuck in the way I see things, I will say to myself, "I wish to see this differently", and know that my sincere desire will result in a shift of awareness. There is really no one right way to see anything. To allow my point of view to shift will not only produce insight and relief for a particular circumstance but it will give me practice in letting my mind move freely and independently. I will allow myself the luxury of relaxing my rigid point of view and letting new light and fresh awareness come into my inner sight. I believe that it is possible to see things in a variety of ways.
