Are you meant to be throwing a play party?

My experience is that drinking a lot is usually discouraged.

I know I might sound like a priss, but

I wouldn't have fun at a party with a lot of drinking and public sex play in front of my friends.

This is just my preference, of course, but

It is possible that I am not the only person who might feel that way.

I love the idea of a sexy costume party, or a theme party.

I had my fiftieth birthday party at a Korean restaurant where

I reserved a karaoke room, and it was a blast.

Chancie I can understand what you are saying. I am a drummer and the only parties I have thrown in the last few years involve a room of friends, drinks, pop, and lots of food. Then the 15 - 20 of us gather in one room or another and go round after round of freestyle drumming. We eat, drink, laugh between rounds. We make sure everyone gets home safe. For my last birthday party I had over 40 ppl come and we drummed until 6 am.

I have not thrown a party like this before. I don't know many of the women coming. Only some of them drink, none smoke and I am not sure where on the "fun" spectrum they fall.

But what the hell, we are all adults with the ability to establish boundaries and speak up.

I totally understand that you want the party you throw to be fun and sexy.

You know what I've been thinking about as I read this thread?

When I'm single, I want to be flirty and send out I'm fun, no, really, signals, but

I don't want to send out I'll do anything to get you to like me signals. and

I almost always get it wrong.

My more staid friends think I'm a wild thing, and

My drinky party friends think I am d-u-l dull, because

I don't really drink and

I don't usually dirty dance except with my beaus.
