~Only Human~

The stone hearth is ablaze
and it's warming embers
begins to thaw my frozen heart
Awakening it from a state
of cold and immobilizing
limbo

I shall continue to let my heart guide me
but this time only to a place
That holds a secure future
created of sacred and lasting bonds
For that built upon a solid foundation
Is what holds any true and lasting value
in ones life.

I then remove the crown of thorns
from up upon my head
placed there by my own hands
And replace it with a crown of crimson glory roses
Their petals are soft to the touch
their scent fragrant and sweet
Inhaling deeply
I now enter into a sanctifying state of grace.
A peacful place filled with
the glory of personal power
A place where I have stopped
crucifying myself
and have forgiven both
myself and other's
For being only human.

~When~

When? If not now
will you ever allow yourself
to see past all the deception
That much to my dismay
does allow for animals to be exploited
does allow for the beauty of a forest
to be reduced to mere stumps and ashes
does allow for prejudice and discrimination
to exist...
keeping deserving other's from enjoying
the same human and civil rights many
take for granted...
does allow for those without health care
to be denied decent access
to treatment and wellness
does allow for the homeless to be hungry
stripped of their dignity
alone, cold and ignored
does allow for our youth to leave for war
as heroes and return home to us as strangers
When will there be justice for the humanitarians?

The truth is... we all must begin to care
and do more to actively participate
in finding solutions rather then
to just passively sit and stare in self-poise
or choose to simply look the other way
because the truth is just too painful to bear.
I encourage us all to
Act passionately...
Live with a purpose...
And be the change we wish to see
Because sister's and brother's you can become
part of the solution instead of compounding our pain
For the fate and future of our world
rests in our own hands
and as the clock keeps ticking
our purpose's are calling us by name.
So Please Listen...closely
and stop pointing the blame
for we each have some unique talent
to contribute towards saving one and the same.

~Burning With Desire~

Under the twilight of the winter moon
your rough outer skin glows of soft amber
and with just barely a whisper
you beckon me to you
to soothe your aching desire

Under the twilight of the winter moon
we delight in passions ignited
and you beckon me to bare
my naked bruised soul to you
and with just a whisper
your breath begins to warm me
strong arms shield me from the storm
And my thousand of bruises revealed
start their healing in your embrace

Under the twilight of the winter moon
your words are transforming
and you beckon me by name
to crawl towards the sound of your voice

There you carve your name in my flesh
with just the fire in your eyes
and my body begins to melt
into the palm of your hand
passion is unleashed
bodies burn and ache with desire
clenched tightly, entwined together
and ready for release

~Picture Perfect Reality~

The parodox of the fairytale is this...
sometimes even if the shoe we are holding
may slip onto another's foot with ease fitting perfectly
The dim wind of our limitations
can speak clearer to us
then our hearts desire
And we awake from our picture perfect dream
to our current reality
Causing us to bite down hard upon our own lip
silencing ourselves
We retrieve anymore words yet to be spoken
leaving us to stand alone once again
barefooted...and still missing our other shoe
but upon substantially
stronger and sturdier legs now
shall we once again arise upon.
