Madonna was first around when I was like 4 and 5 yrs old so I wasn't old enough to really see her until I got older ~ she is one of a kind though there is no doubt :-)

She's appealing to her younger little Monster crowd, she's a different, quirky, nerdy, and connects with kids that way. She puts a message out which is accept people for who and what they are. A lot of shit has been done before, she's today's sensation not an 80's one.

She is very different, and thats what I love the most about her ~ yes she does things that have been one before this much is true, but she does it in a very different way than Annie and Madge have. She's definately someone who is appealing more to the youth of today, as we all know that even though we still have a LONG way to go to gain acceptance for the LGBTQ community its in many ways so much better today thus Gaga can appeal to the younger crowd ....... I still love the song in general, but I guess as time has worn on the video hasn't impressed Me much though I'll always be a Katy Perry fan
