The BoSox meltdown is complete. They lost tonight to Baltimore with 2 out in the ninth, courtesy of Papelbon giving up 2 runs. Tampa Bay and the Yanks went to 12 innings before Longoria put an end to it. Yanks used like 12 pitchers - one I swear was the ballboy. So Tampa is the wildcard in the American league. And St. Louis pulled off the impossible and beat out the Braves. Exciting finish but I am glad it is over. Congrats to all the winners on a job well done. Next up, I believe, is Tigers vs Yanks; Tampa vs. Texas; Cardinals vs Phillies; Brewers vs Diamondbacks. Think I'm rooting for the Tigers and Cardinals. |
