Where did your screen name come from?????

Mine's just after characters in three of my favourite books.

On the dash site I was EnderDurden (Ender Wiggin from Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game and Tyler Durden from Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club) When I came here I just expanded it to include D-503 who is the main character in Yevgeny Zamyatin's We.

My maternal grandmother couldn't pronounce my name she called me Katalina / hence Kat. I added the fl it's where I live now.

Once upon a time a terribly long time ago I was given my 'royal name' ~ by friends who were very dear to me - it was: HRH Lady Carey of Sparkle.

I hate to stand on ceremony ... so I often use just plain Sparkle, on the dash site I was LadyCSparkle.

I also have a penchant for things that sparkle.
And occasionally I have sparkly eyes.

Anyone that knows me knows I absolutely love jewelry!! and at the time I was registering for this site I was wearing a silver ring with a pearl...Silver Pearl to me sounded like a Femme version of a Silver Fox which didn't resonate since I'm not quite there yet...lol. So, I used Platinum Pearl since the pearl I was wearing was grey and set in silver.

Mopsie is a nickname I had in college. People think it had to do with the bunnies from the Peter Cottontail books but that's not true. It actually had to do with my "mop of hair" that was always slipping out of the barrettes or hair ties I put it in. Especially when I would be dancing at parties it would get a little bit wild and my friends would tease me about my mop of hair which turned into Mopsie.

I've used "homoe" on several sites. When I signed up on the very first one, I wanted "homo" but it was already taken so I just added an silent 'e' to homo!
