Default Thought I'd revive this thread...

Hopefully some folks out there will appreciate this immortal music. It doesn't matter how much time has gone by, this music stands on it's own because it is beautiful and enduring. I hope some of you will agree, and post some of your favorites.

I just discovered this artist today, and I am madly in love with her singing & style. Her phrasing is incredible, and her clear and crystal voice is just wonderful. I hope you like her as well. Here she is world - Maxine Sullivan. African American b. 1911, d. 1987, but her music endures!

Default This recording made in the 1950's is not quite...

at the 'Big Band' era, but it was a song written by the great Hoagy Carmichael, back in the 30's I believe. So many have recorded this song, but I love Doris Day's rendition - I guess because I just love Doris Day.
