I am. The new investment group that bought my company out has some things in the works here locally in Arlington with a credit union. Right now the current credit union is based in Dallas almost a 45 min drive to the nearest one. So that's why I didnt choose the credit union first. I just chose a bank that our checks were drawn off of. So, I am looking forward to things working out with a credit union. Thanks for the info!

For those that asked, no I didn't try caffeine. That wasn't the issue(s).

I had not had solid food for most of the day, my fluids were down because I wasn't drinking as much in order to avoid having to use the portapotty along with a dozen construction guys, I had mondo stress from several aspects of the office move going wrong, and my hair was pulled back waaay too tight that day.

I was doomed from the beginning.

Luckily, I am NOT pissed today.

Red face

Warning...ranting to commence now:

Ok...so my son's father is remarried and has a daughter (my son's half-sister). She is 8 years old. A few months ago, she got a kitten from a family member...and the kitten is just adorable! (a little halloween kitten...all black with orange eyes). So anyway, my ex's wife started to develop allergies and asked me if I would watch the kitten until they bought their new house (the idea being that with a large house, her allergies might not act up so much). Of course, I said yes. The first few days the kitten was here, she was skittish as hell. Would not let anyone pick her up for more than a minute, and squirmed to get down the whole time. She spent most of the day running and hiding, which is normal...new place...other animals and all, so I didn't think much of it. After about two days...she completely settled down and became a velcro cat...loves being held, purrs constantly, etc... Yesterday, my son's dad called and asked if he could bring his daughter over to visit her cat. When she got here, the kitten reverted to her old habits...and I saw why. The kid treats her like a toy not a living thing!! And her father does NOT correct her! I am not one to interfere with the way someone handles their own child...but I couldn't help myself this time! The way she tries to pick the poor kitten up and the way she holds her is horrible...and when the kitten tries to get away from her...she chases it until she has it trapped and then grabs it again.

So, now...I don't want to give the kitten back to them..whenever it is they get their house. I can't deal with the fact that she is basically abusing this kitten and no one seems to care...or at least doesn't care enough to correct her or explain to her that a kitten is not a stuffed animal. I know it's going to cause a problem when I tell them that I want to keep the cat...but I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I gave the kitten back and it got hurt!

Sigh...ok...venting over...carry on.

I am going to campaign to keep the kitten. I will not give her back without a fight and I will tell them the reason why I am keeping her. I can't, in good conscience, send an animal back to a situation where I know they will be mistreated.

Angry today's rant

What's the point of making students register for classes online when the school obviously can never get the online registration working for more than an hour or two at a time. I went through the whole process, got to the final screen and got an error. Apparently, this is a glitch that only the advisors can override. Unfortunately, since the head of the human services dept IS my advisor (since she's so damn arrogant she not only does all human services advising, heads the dept, but also will not allow anyone but herself to even TEACH a class related to human services) I have to wait until the very end of the month to get an appt with her instead of being able to go RIGHT NOW to any of the other regular advisors who are available at any time. In other words, suck ass classes again this semester because the ones I want/need will be gone by the time I get registered. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
