How many of you use some sort of outside help?

scrabble helper or crossword helper?

Is it cheating or cheating the spirit of the game?

yes/no?

why/why not?

I'm sort of ambivilent about outside help, cause I'm playing the game for a learning experience...

But it does bite to be trounced by over three hundred points by someone you KNOW does not know what the small earbone of an animal that has been extinct for several thousand years is called.

I finally won a game with Dixie
But I haven't seen her online since then....

Everyone else is beating mah ass regularly,
Even that Andrea who had not played before I offered
to let her beat me!

so...we can have as many open games as we want? we dont have to sit and complete a game if there are time constraints...im slowly getting around to spending more time over there so this info would be helpful

I think that if no one makes a move for seven days, the game will end. And you may play up to twenty games, I believe.

I have a game that has been idle for 8 days, and yes it is driving me nuts!
How difficult is it to resign? (I am not talking about you RitaSink, you are quite apt at following protocol and common courtesy).

I have about 15 games going on right now, so I am not sure if twenty is the limit and frankly I don't want to test that one out. I'll take your word for it.

I've had games that were stalled for a while. I finally read everything since I hoped they would drop off after 7 days. Nope. Un-played games take 11 days to die.

Yes, twenty is the limit. I wish they would raise it because I don't get to play half the games I'd like...lol

Oh, and I have YET to win a game against GT. I'm gonna start holding candy hostage or something, in hopes of winning just one!!

I don't use helpers. If I wouldn't be allowed to do it in a game of scrabble, I wouldn't do it in WWF.

I do however, have a ridiculous vocabulary. I love words, especially archaic ones and I am a voracious reader.

I don't play against people I suspect to be using helpers. It doesn't feel like a game anymore and I just don't see the point, I'm afraid.

I don't use any sort of help when playing. I do look up words I know are words but can't remember what it means. Sometimes I look the word up before I play it and something I wait until after, but I do need to know what it means at some point. I also look up words other people play that I don't already know.

I play the game to test myself and to learn from others. Heck, I don't even care if I win. I just want to play.
