I love that He always slows down by the little lakes so I can look for gators bc he knows it tickles me pink to see them out sunbathing How His hand always finds mine everytime we walk together That He makes me chocolate chip cookies late at night and let's me eat them in bed He always says I love you Baby, not just I love you How my nephew, even though he is 17, let's me call him Baby Pumpkin Butt and doesn't cringe, and always says I love you twice before he hangs up How Chevvie loves to lay across my feet while I watch tv That Dodger nickers when he hears my voice as I walk in the barn

It may not seem like much, but I'm still buying my Mum flowers, ever since she told me no-one had ever bought her them when she was with them, it broke my heart, she's the sweetest, most generous, loving, giving and forgiving woman I've ever met, and it always makes me smile seeing her face light up when I walk up to her with a bundle of flowers in my arms, even if she does then tell me off for spending my money on her.
She's worth it, hell, she's more than worth it, she's not only my Mother, she's one of my best friends.

Thanks everyone for posting!!!!!!!! ITLT like.......... Being held tight after a long, frustrating day and then before i know it laughing about the silliest things. Just cause she can find and bring out the happiness in me no matter what. Getting a call from my mom who is watching the Superbowl and she just KNOWS she's gonna win that car in that giveaway even though she signed up just once and there are millions of people registered. Sitting at my desk finishing my work computer stuff and taking time to notice all the things on my desk that are special to me. Like, things co workers have bought me over the years, my certifications, an antique nurse that my uncle bought me when i graduated, a picture of me and Bully in our 50s attire at the reunion, sand from Julie's trip, curious George trinket box that another friend bought me and she has since passed away, a pink ceramic shoe that i just adored and got at Goodwill oh about 20 years ago, a tiny ceramic tea pitcher that i made myself.... Ok i'll stop now lol. But, it is wonderful to have these little things around me from all of these wonderful and different relationships that all mean so very very much.

One of my favorite customers came in reeking of cologne. The scent lasted looooong after he left. This made me happy because it was a pleasant smell that covered the smell of what my employee did in the bathroom right before going home.

i love this thread!
itlt...like drifting off to sleep with my 10 year old snuggled deep under the covers between us. ...text messages from family letting me know they miss and love me. ...watching my almost 14 year old hanging out with her in the kitchen while she makes dinner, chatting away. that is a first EVER!! ...doggy kisses after a long day at school and work. ...being able to log in here every now and again during the day and find myself smiling at all they joy you folks bring into my life! |

The little things say so much in any relationship.
Such as; I had to tell my partner I broke that plastic ear hook for my bluetooth and I don't use my phone so much without it because I always seem to be needing both hands for things. Ha Ha Then a few days later in the mail she made me a ear hook herself. I just love it.  It is such a great way to feel someone is thinking about you.

My bed is super high, so my Pinky (she's a little mite) can't jump into it. She sleeps at the foot of my bed in her crate (door open, of course) which is padded with a pink bed and a pink blankie (is she spoiled, or what!?).
In the mornings she comes to the side of the bed and starts hopping up and down and whimpering/talking to mommy to get the heck up and feed her! Sometimes I tease her, and make believe I don't hear her - boy, does that get a reaction! She will continue in this way until I get up. Then she brings her toys for me to throw so she can fetch - but she never wants to let go, lol, so it's tug-of-war time. This is our daily routine. My Pinky is a scamp/imp, and I adore her to no end. And the fact that she's adorably cute-as-a-button, doesn't hurt her any either! She is approaching the 'terrible twos' - may heaven preserve me!  These are the small and joyous things in my life that are really BIG things.I love my Pinky!

seeing an amazing Dear post in the Dear thread, that brings me to tears, because His love & support for me blows me away sometimes.. Especially on my difficult & challenging days in my Recovery & this Eating Disorder...
