some nights the helplessness i feel consumes
my heart, my mind, my soul
every fear, every doubt, every hurtful word comes
crashing down upon me like ice
every nerve in searing pain
all the tears in the world can't heal this pain
somehow i find it in me, though
to recover
to bring myself back to the top
to love, to live, to hope
to give everything i have and then some
the one who said it's amazing what the human body can take
they said it all
