Well, I read through some of these posts on the last couple pages

and

Wolfy, who appreciates the benefits I get using AARP
Like a credit card, you can use it almost anywhere you travel in the states
It gives better discounts to me than the one I get at work when I shop

Don't get me wrong. I like senior discounts as well as anyone and do take advantage of them......just as I did student discounts (even as a much-older-than-average college student a few years ago).

And I'm avoiding the dirt map for at least 25 more years.

better than most senior discounts.
I can save 25% on shoes at Rockport/Reebok in the outlet mall near my house.
I only get 10% at work and have to use cash or a work credit card to get it.
There are other perks, but if you want to know, join

BTW, I'd avoid dirt maps, too....tough on the eyes, for sure
